I was told many times that choosing a processor wasn't too important for gaming and that this one would work. It really feels like this processor has been holding me back in every game though
Everyone else with my same graphics card seems to be getting much better frame rates with their i7's and other intel CPUs. Since I did go with AMD, it's too late for me to switch to Intel. I'm wondering if buying a better, newer AMD processor would improve games like World of Warcraft, Tera, and Final Fantasy 14? The FX series seem to be the newest, but I'm sure they don't match up to an i5 or i7 so I'm asking here if the $150 is even worth it.
