Welcome to Gaia! ::

Well you see the question. What is your most favorite, coolest, rarest comic book?

This could be something that isn't rare, just your favorite book, why?

If it is rare (signed, almost extinct, just a few were printed), why?

There is no arguing in this thread, just tell us what you got and why you feel that it is awesome.

My coolest comic book that I own is Cable #1 signed by Art Thibert. Even though it is one of those numbered signatures I think it is pretty cool. I found it in a used book store and I thought "Why would someone get rid of this?"

That is good, Brian K. Vaughan is pretty awesome. I haven't finished all of Y the Last Man, but from what I have read it is really good.

Recently a Saint went to the US and came back with 2 lbs worth of comic books and put them to sale in a Comic Book Convention, which allowed me to take what I consider to be amazing treasures:
Amazing Spider-man #150 from November 1975
And Mighty Thor 364-366 (the story where Thor is turned into a Frog) from 1986
Both from before I was born! You don't find that stuff around here!

Oh! And I have and issue of Batgirl (Stephanie Brown), with cover by Phil Noto, signed by Noto himself!
Incredible Hulk #181

@King Coatl & Emerald King Knight. That is very cool.

@Maki_P- I have not seen those issues of spiderman in my lcbs so that is awesome that you have them.
Same with Mighty Thor, that is a great story arc. Take good care of your comics.

Does a compilation count? Since I consider the rarest one in my collection to be Marada the She-wolf, by Chris Clairmount and John Bolton which is about a Red Sonja-esque character, although the setting is in Roman times as opposed to Hyborian. Also the book is out of print.

Well atm I own very few comics, I just started reading them, but from the few I do have I'd have to saw Red Robin: The Grail. Simply because out of the comics I do own this one has by far the best storyline.

I really only read it when I get a chance... Like at the library or at a book store... Otherwise I can't really afford the trades. I would like to, but I have read the first 3 trades, the 8th trade, and the 10th or what ever trade was the ending. I will read all of it eventually just like I will with Preacher.

Usually out of print stuff is cool to have. It definately is worth more (for a trade/hardback) they sell for a little more but most likely not as rare as the single issues. As long as you think it is cool then that is what it is. If I were you I would be proud of what I have.

@LaddieSapphire- Red Robin is awesome. The Grail is pretty cool. You should check him out in the New 52 Teen Titans title.
