I have some problems with it. Boob window be damned, super hero costumes have never been practical, and sometimes not even iconic. They've always been something you can get a good laugh out of and say you'd never wear that, even if you were super powered. They were for me at least.

But Power Girl's new costume just looks dumb. If the last one was sexist, this one is just downright lazy. The gold bracers and boots look out of place on her. Why not just keep the blue gloves and boots? Were they so bad? And the leggings? Why the lines? Did they really have to be made out of 3 pieces of whatever they're made from? And seriously, white on white? Couldn't have just made them gold or blue and kept the old boots and gloves? What about the sleeves? Why not just make it a full catsuit? Sometimes showing no skin at all is sexier than showing skin. This is a case of that. That hair? It just looks bad. Her old hair was modern, sleek, and I guess you could say practical for fighting. Short means less to grab on to. But this looks like she's going to have to sit in a salon for a couple hours getting it done. So are they going to go for salon jokes over tit window jokes? And her cape. Seriously, couldn't they have kept the old half cape and just put the P on the clasp?

Sez you, that one's much better! And it manages to evoke her old one quite nicely with the use of colours and such.

To be honest, I don't know why most superheroes don't have a few variations of their costume hanging up in the wardrobe. I mean, how many people do you know who wear the same set of clothes every day, day in, day out?

I realise I'm not exactly one to throw stones in this regard, mind...

The problem wasn't the "P." Peej was refusing to be labeled as a Lady Superman. This is unarguably not a Superman Treatment, and it pulls back pretty far from previous criticisms that previous redesign invoked Supreme.

You're missing the point. She's not mad that's it's a P. She's upset that he wants her to copy Superman's shield design. She doesn't care about the P.

Since this topic is back into the First page, I'm gonna use this image to comment on the fact that the new PG used to be Supergirl. A completely different person to the one refusing to be Supes female counterpart.
