so how long do you think the new titles will last? and can we get Zinda Blake back now?

Probably only Batman INC out of the new-new titles though maybe JSA might do well. I also see other old-new titles getting dropped down the road. Oh I forgot but I kind of agree with this posting:

Who was it here who pointed out how the inevitable cancellation of Mr. Terrific and Static Shock for being bad books will be used to argue that people should stop trying black leads in comics, because that line is already popping up on CBR

Though not just Black leads any non-white leads. I guess I'll never see Cassie suit up again. classified_fu

Don't you think Cassie will appear in Batman Inc?
She is Black Bat after all

I would like for her to have her own series as some sort of new hero. Now that's probably a pipe dream since yeah DC doesn't care about non-whites.

What about Batwing?

I don't see that lasting long either. I'm actually shocked it's not on the chopping block. eek

Don't know. If its not in Batman Inc I don't care.

Detective Comics #6- I might be dropping this one to save some money, the story isn't keeping me that interested...

Static Shock #6: I am enjoying this story but from 1-6 I have been kind of confused. I think they could have done better with this book, maybe start something that didn't seem like it was continuing with a previous story that I haven't read.

Sad news for Static readers. It's getting canceled soon, along with Mister Terrific, Men of War, OMAC, Hawk & Dove, and Blackhawks (which I read and am sad about.) Source] It's getting replaced with some really awesome stuff, like Earth-2 and World's Finest, but it's not cool that they are going to cancel these runs so soon after they began. Kinda seems like a waste.

On a happier note, I've been meaning to look in to WildStar. How is that? Was it good?

That is unfortunate, I guess I am going to have to look for trades or back issues of the old Static Shock. I was really excited when it was first announced in the new 52 line up. I hope they at least bow out gracefully instead of leaving mid arc to cancel. I am sorry to hear about the other titles too, that is kind of sucky if they are really canceling these titles, but characters like Mister Terrific, Hawk & Dove, OMAC... etc. They are not going away but I understand not being able to read their own stories...
Hey, maybe they are melding stuff together, moving guys around and adding to team books (Static could show up with the Titans and you know, stay with them).

For WildStar, all I really got was a small look into it. At the begining of the first issue you don't really know what is going on yet but you soon learn that you came in at a moment of the end of an infinate time loop just about to start all over again. I only got the first issue, if I come by the others or perhaps a reasonably priced trade I will get them.

Called it! Knew Mr. Terrific was gonna to get canned and I'm kind of glad I didn't get to attached to it. Can't say no one was buying it because I did buy the first four issues.

Yeah. I wasn't surprised Mr. T got the can. While I'm actually a big fan of Terrific himself, I didn't think his comic was doing too well. The writing was just a bit too heavy-handed and the story wasn't picking up fast enough. But maybe he'll end up in the Earh-2 comic, since he's been a member of JSA before. We can hope.

Damn straight. I want Zinda back so much. I'm actually really enjoying the new Blackhawks comic and I love the new Lady Blackhawk, so I'll be sad to see that go, but Zinda is a great character and she was awesome in Birds of Prey. I want to see her again. My hope is that we can have both characters, but sadly I just don't know if we'll see either any time soon. Though I'm sort of hoping Zinda will pop up in the new Birds of Prey. *Fingers crossed.*

And personally, I think Batman Inc, Earth-2, and World's Finest will probably last a decent length of time. Batman's Inc. and JSA (Earth-2) were doing very good before the reboot and no one's shocked to see those titles return, if a little late. And World's Finest has gotten a lot of hype. People seem excited about it. I certainly hope it lasts. But I really think the first two will do fine.

If you like Static Shock, I would definitely suggest checking out his older stuff. He's had some pretty good runs in the past, especially his first series. Though just a heads up, if you look for old Static comics, his old stuff was usually called 'Static' instead 'Static Shock.' I do think they're gonna end these comics gracefully. Perhaps that's hopefully thinking, but they were given about three months to prepare for the cancel. If they end up leaving off mid-arc with that much time to get things wrapped up, I'll be pretty ticked off.

That's my hope. I have a feeling Blackhawks and Men of War will probably pop up in the new 'G.I. Combat' comic and characters like Hawk & Dove and Static will end up in Teen Titans. Since Static was a member of the Titans before the reboot, it makes sense that they'd put him back. Honestly, I was sad he wasn't in Titans already.

Ha. Okay. Sounds confusing. Probably a good idea to pick up a few issues all at once if I start in on Wildstar, then, or I'll be lost. Thanks for the info. smile It's always nice to have a few random comics that you're interested in, but not really in to yet, in case you come across a nice P-off sale or something. Heh. Or at least that's what I do.
Speaking of Static, I have a quick question. Does he retain any of his history or was his series completely rebooted?

Oh, I know about that stuff for Static. A friend of mine gave me a whole bunch of the issues of the first series and put it on my jump drive (I don't download comics, pirate or pay, and have not had a chane to read them yet). I also saw a bundle the first 10 issues at half price books but didn't have enough money and when I did, it was gone. I was sad.

I am sure DC wouldn't do that, I was just saying that it would suck if they canceled mid arc.

I think the WildStar I picked up was the first issue of the introduction 4 issue mini-series called Sky Zero. I am going to look for the rest. I agree, it is nice to have some random comics, I also like to collect mini-series and one shots. Makes for a good read and I don't have to look into previous issues, but I have a few on going series I collect too.

Oh, that's lame. I hate when that happens. I tend to look through a bunch of comics, pick out the ones I can pay for right then, and then I put the others back to get the next time I come in. Sadly, people seem to follow me or something, because they are almost always gone. I think I'm being comic-stalked! smile Ha. But that's cool that you do know the old Static. So many people I talk to think he's just from that cartoon. Heh.

I hope so. DC's done it to me before, but then seem better about that sort of things these days. So I have high hopes that everything will get mostly wrapped up.

Oh, thanks. Sky Zero. I'll check that out. My comicshop has some WildStar, but I never really knew where to start so I mostly just flipped through it and never grabbed anything. Yeah, I think having some random stuff you pick up is kind of fun. Plus, I like to have a few comics I follow that aren't just DC or Marvel.

God feels like forever since I got new comics

Batgirl 6- End of another small arc. Gretel was quite the underwhelming villain. They kind of sped through it really, giving a quick gist of how gretel got her powers, bruce and bab's current friendship level. The artwork was nice. I really liked this incarnation of Bruce, especially when compared to the Dark Knight. It wasn't bad though, a nice little interjection to see the relationship between Bab's and her mumma. Overall....Bab's still impresses me. She isn't the series I live for, but it's one of the two which I always end up re-reading. (I don't know why, I can't bring myself to re-read my two favourite series). So I still enjoy miss Gordon's escapades
6.5/10

Batwoman 6-New Arc, New artist, New loyalties. Well it was nice to read this. Really interesting start, and very nice to see the differing stories between the characters. Honestly I hope flamebird gets better soon....I really want to see flamebird in action with Batwoman...not just as pleb or on her own. The artwork....was awesome. Both Amy Reeder and Richard Friend know how to make a good comic! The actual comic seemed watered down due to the individual stories...like there wasn't anything meaty to get into. But still, it was interesting and good nonetheless! Especially with the artwork, and seeing Kate working with her new loyalties.
Although Kate did look better with long hair than with short hair....
7/10

Stoked for Batman Beyond-Unlimited
SO tempted to buy a Donna Troy figurine today.....god I would have...if I didn't see Magic The Gathering: Dark ascension cards out
Maybe next time....or I might just evilbay her, Starfire and Batgirl sometime in the near future

Batman & Robin #6: OH GOD, OH GODDDDDDDDDDDDD!! I CRIED. REALLY CRIED, MAYBE BECAUSE DAMIAN CRIED! AND THEN YOU COULD HEAR DUCARD BEATING HIM AND BRUCE IS ALL LIKE "DAMIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!" DADDYBAT IS MAD. DUCARD IS ********. COMPLETELY ********.

I HAVE SO MANY FEELS.
9999999999999/999999999999. IDEC.

Buffy Season 9 (#6): So is Spike the father of Buffy's baby? I hope she doesn't get an abortion...that'd make for some good storylines. 5/5

Superboy #6: Is anyone going to treat Superboy nicely? I really feel for Kon. He's obviously so confused and lost, and along comes equally confused and lost Kara and they just beat each other up. And Kara wasn't exactly kind to him when they were talking. Nice going blonde one. :l "You are doomed to become a killing machine!" Ouch man. 4/5

Wolverine And The X-Men #5: My favourite series coming out of Marvel right now. I love the students of the academy, most of them are completely crazy and lethal. And oh god, poor Kitty!! That's nasty, I hope she doesn't die. :l 5/5

Batwoman #6: This series is pretty...but I think I'm starting to get bored of it. Kate is one of the most interesting members of the Batfam, but I'm not feeling this story right now. 3/5

Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha and Omega #2 - It's ok but something about the art kind of bugs me. Not Wood's greatest stuff but still kind of neat.

Conan: Queen of the Black Coast #1 - Interesting opening issue. Like Cloonan's art and Wood's writing. Looking forward to the rest of ser.... 25 issues?! eek
My back issues of Batman & Robin finally came in, so I read through all six of them. It's fantastic, I'm definitely going to be keeping up with this series.

I also got Action Comics #6. And I'm kind of confused as to what's going on, There's an excessive amount of techno-babble and the story seems overly complicated. I'll keep following it for now but it's really not much of a priority.

I'm so far behind. I picked up Avenging Spider man #2 and DC Universe Presents Deadman #3. I'm a big Deadman fan.

Now I'm just hoping DC brings back The Question soon.
