Those parents don't screen what they give their children and then they want to blame someone else?
Well, it's about time somebody blamed DC! Maybe this can prevent another young life from turning to horrible things like MTV and Necrophilia!

So we can replace the phrase "the Devil made me do it," and replace it with "DC Comics made me do it..." pirate
Six of one, half dozen of the other since we all know Dan DiDio is indeed Satan.

Anyone who thought killing off Ted Kord is a good thing deserves that comment...

At least Marvel had the common decency of warning people about the content. They didn't none of this here necrophilia subversive crap that DC is trying to pull. All the real DC fans know that "Red Rain" was just them testing the waters to see how effective their propaganda had been.

And you don't see any werewolves around in DC since their campaign for beastiality went belly up.

You know, I always considered the fact that things are published under DC and not DC kids as a fair warning to keep kids away from them, but, hey. I guess that's just me.

At one point you're misspelling "douche" and trying to refute my claims. The next you're touting Marvel as having superior necrophilia. It's a shame to see a young person such as yourself being sucked into this web of media inspired deviant behavior.

I do find this competition between Marvel and DC very disturbing. Is this going to lead to rumbles in the cemeteries once all the comic-driven necrophiliacs come out at 3 in the morning after watching videos on MTV? Will they be beating each other with the very shovels they were using to dig up their "dates" yelling at each other about which company is supposedly better?

Young people such as myself? Hahaha ah well I have to point out the obvious difference between you and I as far as I can tell: I'm having fun and you're taking things way too seriously. As far as my misspelling goes, I do often misspell things on purpose and I honestly don't see how my grammar has anything to do with the topic.

I enjoy many forms of entertainment, including comics, for exactly what they are: entertainment. Comic books and such are not the guides by which I live my life or base my morals. If you really think that by some bizzare subconscious feat the placement of Batman as a hero is going to turn today's youth into vampire obsessed necrophiliacs then you have less faith in humanity than I do lol.

Of course all of this is said under the tentative assumption that you are truly serious. If, on the other hand, this is just a joke, then congratulations. Not only have I laughed a good deal but you have certainly gotten a reaction out of me...even if it is just typing a reply on an Internet forum.

The grammar is always the first thing to good. Then your sense of proper capitalization follows. Next goes all sense of rationality. Then the word "Deffiant" gets added to your screen name and there's no going back after that.

We've seen it happen here before.

I worry greatly about humanity and our youth. Have you been to Hot Topic? Den. Of. Sin. Batman paraphenalia everywhere and all these CDs which I'm sure are meant to be played while these poor misguided youths are out in the dead of night performing such horrible deeds. And you know why all those shirts in that store are black: helps them hide when breaking into the cemetery.

I'm hoping these replies are the start of you realizing the error of your ways and improving the quality of where you get your entertainment. Remember, just say 'No' to DC Comics.

I recommend Archie Comics. Much more wholesome, although that Betty Cooper girl is kind of disturbing.

I don't know about that. Ted Kord was far from being a paragon of virtue. The instances of him have cybersex with Oracle are well documented.
To put it in more "street" terms, they totally cyber-did it.

Why don't you go to the cemetery tonight and check for us then, hmm? Then you can tell us if you were right about the many teenage necrophiliacs that go out with their Hot Topic shirts on and Batman comics tucked under their arms.

Oh please, she was created by Wolfman and Perez for The New Teen Titans which was the birthplace of emo. That comic delivered a level of angst previously unheard of in comics.

It also delivered a reflection of youth in that era. And a sense of 'family' in comics. The New Teen Titans was supposed to be a team of superheros that felt more 'real' for their readers, and according to sales, it worked. Because it was displaying the things that teens went through. So yeah, it had more angst than older comics, but that's because it was showing how real teens acted, and many teenagers were, and still are, 'angsty'.
And hey, if the NTT was the birthplace of emo, I'd be one. Go look in my room at my comic collection, and at the amount of NTT (not to mention current Titans) comics I have. But I'm a pretty happy, normal teen, and far from 'emo'. Also, how come all the Titans fans I know are totally normal?

Ted Kord can do no wrong -- even when he is perfectly wrong is he wrong perfectly...

It was horrible. I'd post pictures, but it would be a ToS violation.

Obviously the result of viral marketing in an attempt to corrupt young people.

I'm sure it truly helped teenager dealing with the problems of there superspeed killing them, being half machine and never able to really fit it and that real kicker of having a Satanic Damon lord as your father.

Your idea of 'normal' is obviously skewered. Normal teens don't invite strange people on the internet into their rooms to view their comic book collections. You should stop using the internet at once for your own good and seek a professional therapist. And get rid of those DC Comics. They're obviously the root ot the problem as to your current state.

Wow, so you are this generations version of:
Fredric Wertham.

Seduction of the Innocent. The Comic Code.

Well, let's look at this another way.

Let's say you are right.
If there is a great conspiracy, promoting necrophilia, and backed by vampires, then would not said vampires then not appriciate a lowly human attempting to subvert their subverting. If someone stands to far out from the herd, would they not then cull them from the flock? If you are indeed correct, I hope the vampire overlords spare you...

Or conversely, perhaps if you were mistaken...

DC comics, drawing on archtypical images in our subconciousness, utilizes certain themes that appeal to the masses, the theme of the vampire is in pretty much every culture, and some form of zombie is also prevelant perhaps.
Werecreatures. the monster.

An interesting question comes to mind however, ... does indeed the hero be the best to emulate or the villan?

Hero forces their morality on society, punishing those he views as wrong. Villan does what they have to, to see their vision for the future come true.
Don't be ridiculous. DC is not backed by actual vampires, they're using vampires and vampiric imagery to promote necrophilia.

And to answer your question, DC is putting forth Batman as a hero and having him use vampire fetishism in his 'war on crime'. If we are meant to emulate heroes then we should all incorporate vampire fetishism into our daily lives. That is only the beginning of the slippery slope.
I fully and completely endorse what you have to say. Vampires have a huge ick factor.
I've got one word for you, Will. Yiff. I don't know what it means, but Xander does and he says not to say it around you. It doesn't have anything to do with lesbians does it? Because that's totally not what I was getting at.
Not all vampires are bad, Will. Just the ones that don't have gypsy curses or computer chips in their skulls.
