Now, I honestly shouldn't mention this, but, (directed at Marty) my personal favorite comic book character happens to be Raven from the (Teen) Titans. Are you going to tell me that I am now destined to become a vampire fanatic, a Satan worshiping occult member, or something else?

Actually Raven does serve as a moral lesson for those who may consider dabbling in demon worship. The rampant emo-ness and not to mention the tramp-stamp tattoo let young people know that this lifestyle is not something to be emulated. 3nodding

Alright, that makes fine sense, but I will argue that she is very much NOT an 'emo'. If you read well into the comics, it's clear to see that she's a pacifist, and has never hurt herself on purpose...she also doesn't dress like an 'emo', in my opinion, at least...

And I'd also like to say that if you do happen to research 'Satanism' (and the Church of Satan) it is actually a credible religion, and their followers do not worship the devil at all. However, there are those who do go and make a bad name for Satanism and claim to worship the devil, which has nothing to do with the Church of Satan. And no, I am not part of their religion, I am simply a person who enjoys religious study. wink

From the little bit I read on Satanism when I was studying different religions the founder used the name "Satanism" to describe it because it was considered obscene and in his opinion the belief system is very anti-Christian in that it promotes selfishness etc. where as Christianity promotes selflessness. If I remember correctly a lot of Satanism is encouraging self-worship and the like.

Anyway I'm neither Christian or Satanist and I have no intention of getting in a debate about such. I just wanted to provide what information I have on the topic. 3nodding

Oh please, she was created by Wolfman and Perez for The New Teen Titans which was the birthplace of emo. That comic delivered a level of angst previously unheard of in comics.

At one point you're misspelling "douche" and trying to refute my claims. The next you're touting Marvel as having superior necrophilia. It's a shame to see a young person such as yourself being sucked into this web of media inspired deviant behavior.

I do find this competition between Marvel and DC very disturbing. Is this going to lead to rumbles in the cemeteries once all the comic-driven necrophiliacs come out at 3 in the morning after watching videos on MTV?
