So I rounded up my books this week after laughing hysterically at Barack the Barbarian. Didn't actually read the comic, but the laughable cover and the tagline about "The Quest for Stimuli" pretty much gave me all I needed to know about the comic.
Anyways:
Gotham City Sirens: utterly forgettable. Dini just missed the mark entirely. I love Paul Dini's work usually, this just was flat and boring. The March artwork didn't help matters.
Detective Comics: as expected, it delivered. My expectations were all met and I'm looking forward to the next issue already. Welcome back to Gotham, Mister Rucka. We missed you.
Teen Titans: another forgettable issue. I really like a lot of these characters. I just wish there was more interesting stuff going on. When the high-light of the comic is Miss Martian and Static playing DDR we've got a problem.
Superman: this book was a nice diversion. Mon-El travels the world and does neat stuff and meets cool people. It's all very brief snippets of these adventures, but Robinson gives you one page of something cool and then moves on to let us fill in the details. It's a light read, but a lot of fun.
Wonder Woman: wow. I'm still letting this one settle. Major status quo shift. It's interesting as hell, and opens a lot of interesting doors, but it changes something about Diana that I'm not really sure I like changed. It's not a stupid change, and it makes complete sense in the storyline, but it's just so major. I'll probably blog about it once I'm down from the mountain.
