Although I'm aware this is fitting more towards the video game discussion board, I thought it's true relevance can only brought out more by the fans of the Dark Knight himself and their thoughts and opinions on the game, it's characters, and so on.

When I first heard about this game I was highly skeptical because there has never been a good Batman game to date. But after playing the combat challenge demo and campaign demo I was wrong. It plays great actually, but what about the characters?

Well you've got Kevin Conroy reprising his role as Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker(who looks like a cross between Heath Ledger's and Jack Nicholson's) and Harley Quinn's voice actor returns as well.

As for the others...well one of the other villains you see in the game is Killer Croc comically coming out of a teeny tiny elevator. He looks more beastial than human, but his character description points out that his rare skin condition is the cause of all it. The Scarecrow is brought out more to be like Freddy Kreuger and even wields a glove with syringes on it on his right hand filled with fear juice. Bane is pretty much an exaggerated version of himself from the comics, but there's a given explanation for that. Edward Nigma makes only a voice cameo, having you go around and solve riddles on the island which I believe are optional and only grant you experience points to upgrade the Bat.

Gadgets? Yes there are gadgets such as the batterang, explosive gel, grappling hook, and something I haven't found yet.

The game's story is seemlessly tied into the Batman universe as Bane makes reference to breaking him before and that he'd do it again, but also characters from another comic(I believe Arkham Asylum? There's a guard who's hand has been taken by Killer Croc).

So overall I really do enjoy this game right now and I'm hoping that the game keeps up it's awesome theme throughout my play.

Thoughts?

Just beat it earlier today (in 9 hours and 60-something% completed) . I loved it!

I love the graphics, they're beautiful. I thought the story is great what with all the tie-ins and references to the comics. The game play is great. I love the sense of freedom and exploration when you are outside the asylum.

Really, really, great game.

I played the demo and I really like it. Hopefully it is NOT like Assassins Creed in terms of game play. AC was way too repetitive. I didn't even finish the whole game.

Questing: Your Mom

The Scarecrow by far was one of the most scene stealing villains from the Joker, simply because well later on you'll see why and go eek

But the way the presented him, as if he were Freddy Kreuger was a new take I've never seen before.

Though as I'm at the last part of the game(currently stuck because my controller keeps dying on me) it's really not that long of a game. I've found more than 70% of the Riddler's riddles

I really want to try this simulation but I don't know if our advance alien technology can run such primitive Earth-er amusements.

Your friendly neighborhood (Secret) Invader!

I'm questing for Green Ink for Body Dye to help show my Skrull side, I'd appreciate any help!

got the game yesterday for the ps3
played it for a bit, but it's just...too hard to put away!
Everything is just good about the game, am very pleased with my purchase

Well I beat it yesterday with 90% complete, 16 Predator medals completed our of 24, 139/140 Riddles done(damn you Joker teeth!), and 23/24 Spirit of Arkham solved(#24 is a real mystery!).

Gonna trade it in next week once I solve all the riddles or until my brother beats it.

Regardless it was really fun and it kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end. Instead of a beat-em up, it presents itself more as a thinking game as not everything can be settled with brute force.

I don't own a PS3, but we do have a XBOX 360. If It were my dieing wishes to ask my brother if I could use his xbox, he'd still say no.

So, I have to stick with watching the gameplay's on youtube, which is what I'm doing right now and I have to say that this game is worth playing.

Well I got nothing else to do in the game anymore. Beat the game, solved all the Riddler's riddles, and got an achievement that says I'm the world's greatest detective. Gonna trade it in now. 3nodding
