So I've been working on this for a while. Not the actual comic, but little doodles and drawings and tiny strips here and there, but I've recently been wanting to work on an actual comic book and maybe see if some publisher like Slave Labor Graphics would be interested in it.
It is called "The Felix Files"
and it is focused on the main character Felix Terrel. He is a 16 year old boy with jade green hair who, after a traumatic experience as a child, has the ability to see ghosts. He has many nightmares because of it and because of these nightmares he usually looks very tired with circles under his eyes and is usually very spastic and often will go from talking very quietly to sudden fits of heights in frequency before falling asleep on his school desk. It is all about the zany stories of him and his friends(a delinquent who can also see ghosts, an alien in disguise, a werewolf, the little neighbor kid and his ghost friend) and family(an older sister who is so happy you'd think she peed rainbows, and a younger sister so evil she most likely pees fire and brimstone)
Here's a little briefing on some of the characters!
Felix Terrel

Crazy, paranoid, freaky, weird and stupid are all words that people often associate with Felix. Now, that doesn't mean that all of these are true. He can be a bit paranoid at times and pretty weird as well, but to him his reasons are justified. He lives with his two sisters, an older sister too perky and jolly, and a younger sister who is basically evil incarnate. Between his sisters, his demented friends, and the ability to see ghosts it would turn anyone loopy. But in all actuality he probably takes it better than most people would. And yes he can see ghosts. Most people don't believe him other than his friends because they are equally as strange. And really, Felix is quite the genius. He has a very high IQ and is very intelligent, but he does terrible in school partly from constantly falling asleep due to tiredness from constant nightmares and partly because when it comes to placing his thoughts on paper, he draws a complete blank. He wears a shock collar on his neck disguised as a spiked dog collar. His younger sister Tess placed it on him when he was 15 and try as he may he cannot remove it.
Sally Terrel

Sally is just about the only happy one of the three siblings. She doesn't hate everyone like Tess and isn't afraid of Tess so why should she? She likes to sew and write and draw, just about anything creative and even designs and sells her own plushies. No one knows why she is so perky, it's almost unnatural. But Felix believes that Tess brainwashed her so she would not question ANYTHING that she did to her brother that Sally used to care about so much. Now nothing could make her upset. Frankly it's as if she doesn't even notice that Tess does anything wrong.
Tess Terrel

Tess is evil incarnate. At least, that's what Felix believes. And he really wouldn't be that far off. In her cute as a button exterior, Tess has done terrible terrible things that haunt Felix nonstop. She despises Felix for reasons no one but Felix knows. She placed a shock collar on him when he was fifteen and she has her almightie Doom Button that she presses whenever she wants to electrocute him. But he's grown a tolerance and so the electrocution does not hurt like it used to...Hmm...looks like Tess has her work cut out for her if she wants to cut Felix out of the picture.
Toby Takari

Toby is Felix's closest friend, though probably his most questionable. He was born in Osaka, Japan and lived there until he was twelve, when his mother and he left the country and moved to America for reasons that he does not like to get into, but this trauma has led him to the ability to see ghosts like Felix. Toby became anti-social and was friends with no one until he was 16 and became friends with Felix after realizing that he too could see ghosts. Toby is very intelligent, but prefers to use his brains for things he likes. He dropped out of school and now works with his moms friends husband at an old auto shop. It's called Carl's Cars and I wouldn't reccomend going there for a used car because that's just what you'll get. Unless you want a rusty painted up Monte Carlo that barely even runs. He has a love for yo-yos and knows many tricks with it. He has a crush on his friend Shine, but he would never admit it no matter how obvious it is. Thankfully, Shine is an alien in disguise and as such she doesn't know much about human emotions and can't see that he likes her so much.
Vince McClullan

Vince McLullan is a strange one indeed. He always wears his skull mask that he made himself and he hardly ever speaks. Some who don't know him even wonder if he can speak at all. When he DOES say something then it is usually in the form of a riddle or some sort of metaphor. Little is known about him even to his friends and it is obvious he likes it that way. He enjoys many things though. He likes to take long walks(no not on the beach so don't get THAT idea), junk food, drums(bongo mostly), hiking, riding bikes and many other things that normal people like to do. But he seems to have a larger burst of energy at night then he does any other time of the day. During the day he's pretty dull and he falls asleep often. He also has a deep dark secret that only Felix and Toby know about. If anyone else found out it could possibly end his life or get him kicked out of town at the very least.
Lee Azellas

Lee is a normal boy that moved into the large house next to Felix's home. His mother works all day and most of the night and so he never gets to see her and his father left them when he was only two. But he's not lonely. His neighbors Felix and Sally usually babysit him and not to mention his special friend. He discovered a little girl living....er...taking residence...in his room. Her name is Lauriana and she is a little ghost. She is Lee's closest friend and he wants to help her find out how she died because she can't remember and desperately wants to know. He's a shy boy who is often picked on at school by all the bullies.

Lauri died a long time ago for reasons she can't seem to remember. She desperately wants to remember and is happy that she has Lee for a friend in the mean time as she was very lonely in the house all by herself. She is very kind and perky, but like most little girls, if you make her mad she turns into an evil version of herself until she gets what she wants. Only hers is more....permanent. Not much else but her name is known about her as it's the only thing she could remember.
Sarah

Female
Sarah died in an accident on the way to her school prom. Her boyfriend, who strangely resembled Felix, made it out of the accident, but Sarah did not. When she found Felix she believed that he was her boyfriend and now she won't leave him despite how many times he tries to explain to her that he was not her boyfriend and hasn't even BEEN to a dance. Nevertheless, she is attached to Felix and will not go away. She can be a little jealous of other girls, even if Felix does not have any interest in them. And she is especially jealous of Liz.
Liz Pepellis

Liz is one of those girls who is popular without really having to try, but is not mean to other people even if they are not popular. She is very talented in different fields including music and writing and can play five different instruments. She has a nasty habit of dating real jerks however, usually landing her in tight spots.
Shine
Real age unknown, though she appears 16

Shine is a very cheerful and sweet girl. There's just one problem. She's an alien. She was sent to our planet to scope out the land and send a synopsis to her headquarters to let them know if there was anything desirable in it. If so then they would invade and conquer the planet. She started to love our planet however and did not want it or her new friends to be harmed so she lied to them and told them that she found nothing. She knows that this may not stop her planet from finding out and has decided to stay in case such a thing happens. She can appear very naive in human culture and gets very confused by humans.
This is my most recent picture of Felix that I've drawn. I'm hoping to get some full body pictures of him and all the other characters. He apparently surprised by something from behind him.
