I aaaaaaaalways look forward to the updates, and I have to say I love how the author actually managed to get a storyline in there, and wrangle it out of what the OP on the kmeme wanted. It's shaping up well. Plus the build-up to the current chapter (background tensions with Alternia, Jake and Jade going off about the place) was done well, too. :3c

Hence a guilty pleasure read because I dropped all of the tropes and stuff which I am embarrassed to love into the prompt.

I am so proud of you son. That prompt was wonderful.

What can I say? When I go for the home run, I go for the home run.
It was so long I almost wept tears of joy when someone decided to actually take it on. And then again when the author turned out to have the updating stamina of A BEAST.

No but taking majestic wonderful liberties with Medieval power structures ahhh.
If you're following the author on tumblr they said they're gonna do bonus chapters after the main storyline, hoorah.

Yeah so I figure since there's a temporary lull in updates we might as well talk about fanfic.


OH. Actually as I'm on the topic of fics let me just generally address this to all the Terezi/Dave shippers in the house and/or all the people who love to read nasty twisted stuff.
Read The Gutter Gallows, people. It is so good. So. Good.
Not for the faint of heart or stomach (the title should give you a clue on that one...) but so great.
Possibly the only HS fic I've ever felt the urge to fanart for. (An urge I swiftly quashed, because my writing is better than drawing, seriously...)

Ohh, yes, I love that comic and the artist is great in general. She does a fair bit of DaveTav art and has one fic afaik, Dave: Be the Matador. She's very talented, you need to check out her stuff if you're into the pairing.

I mean she does other things too, but I haven't really looked into it, to be frank.
