My comic is over the 30ish number of pages and I hope to send it to image someday after I hire an artist and put it on comixology (sp?) if its rejected.

Should I break it up into the usual length or keep it as something larger?

typical comic issues run about 22 pgs plus a cover page and I think sometimes an alternate cover page. depends on the publishing company sometimes. but 22 is an average. you could always write more and submit it as a graphic novel instead of individual issues.

Check out Image's submittance guidelines on their website, it has all the specifics you may need.
Keep it large so you can draw pictures and show off how good your drawing skills are. That way people will see how good of a artist you really are
Hope this helped!
