That's what happens when you don't step out of your hugbox and all you ever get is compliments. When faced with the truth -- that you are not as good as your friends said you were -- you freak the hell out and act like a spoiled child.

it's a deviantART tutorial, but one that is wonderfully helpful and comes in different parts. It's kinda lengthy, but definitely worth the time and will help you immensely when working on this comic of yours.

I'm just hoping the ones that do learn develop into something amazing later on and become prime examples for the rest of the ignorant legion.

Er...I'm so confused.

OP, I remember you posting pages a looong time ago (maybe from the same project?), and there's two things.

One, the art from back then is higher in quality than it is now. And two, you were a lot more receptive to criticism.

You still have issues with facial structure and bodies. The thing about comics, the characters have to look like they're actually moving, not in a pose. So while you think your characters are dynamic and action-y, they're actually stiff and flat. Studying foundations will help with that.

I was thinking the same thing. I was looking forward to see more from her, but now I'm just disappointed.

I've never been on the receiving end of racism. I've long fought to end racism against others, but have never been the one to be judged and marked as a less capable person based on the colour of my skin.

Pretty much. I recall thinking that the project (art-wise anyway) had nowhere to go but up. Instead it's gotten sloppy and zilch improvement.

I think the whole 'honky doesn't get my anime' thing was just an attempt to get away from criticism. This Asian who just received three mangas in the mail, still thinks it's ugly work.

It was only a page back, and less than a month doesnt seem so bad, considering im asking an honest question about something that featured in the thread.
