I almost missed the update day today because I pre-loaded a bunch of comics a few months ago, and forgot when they were going to run out. I think it's better if I only upload for an extra week in advance, that way I'll also remember to post here the fancy pance new comic pages Don't forget to hit your back button because this is page 52, I havn't announced updates since way back in the 40's And we're (kinda) starting to have a plot 0_0 scary I know. Last Page has always been about the strange little happenings in my life, most if not all of the stories in it are true. Now we've reached the stage where I've arrived in Japan, this chapter is called NO-VAcation in leu of the company I was working at, and how it sold itself as being this great easy job where I'd have buckets of money and free time, and then it turned out to be an easy job where I had no money no free time and far too much stress because the boss was a douch. However I'll just be drawing the fun parts. I think it's almost a psychic irony that I chose the name of this comic, before I acctually started working at the company, some kind of crazy foresight, or I jinksed myself. |

I've not heard from TheGiantPotatoe in a while and this worries me since I've finished drawing the pages he's given me a script for and now I'm just re-deawing them again and again. so either I'm going to have to advance the story on my own *shudder* or get another writer *SOB* what do people think? it's been nearly a month since I've heard from him, is this an official "Flake?" |

Are any of us really good enough to following schedules to have an "official flake"? That whole "official" bit is very imposing. In all seriousness, though, I would say that if you haven't been able to get a response from someone in an entire month and you haven't heard anything to indicate why (Even if they were just saying, "Heh, I want to take a break now." wink then yes, you could consider them flaking on it.
In somewhat related news... I didn't realize that you'd put more Last Page pages onto the website. I thought I read somewhere that you were going to do it yourself... I suppose I could re-read posts here and try to see if I really did see that.... No, I'm far to lazy for that. I'm just going to point blame at you. I did update the html, though. That's something. |

I guess he might be gone so I'm going to give RD_The the notes from Pandora and see if we can hash out where to go with it. All in the Guild probably, or since she's visiting me IRL right now (Well not NOW now but I'll be chillin with her in a few days once I'm done work and back in her area of town) I'll talk to her about it. Anyway, I think I put up to... 53 on the backfiles and posted up to 52. I can do some basic stuff (Like post the pictures and maybe update numbers 0_o) but fancy things are still beyond me. Since I'm kind of super busy this week there may be no updates but I'll put in a huge chunk of comics sometime next week I guess. |

No worries, at the moment we"re still on Hiatus, we're always looking for new people but right now I'm in Japan and can't run much from here (mostly language barrier issues but also just too busy around here) and Anti is the web page guy so he doesn't do, nor wants to do administrative stuff with daily dealings. So yea, still in scraping by planning stages. Keep your eyes on the front page for the occasional status update. And welcome welcome post what you like here. But try not to talk too much on your comic plot, I'll sent you a link to the guild where you can shop talk there. |

In other news.
It's been a bad month for me. I was planning on getting an apartment but it's way too expensive for a gaijin to get a place in Japan because I don't have a garunteer, nor can I speak enough Japanese to make me worth a real estate agents time. In any case I've spoken with my friends and my boyfriend who are okay with me couch surfing for the next 8 months. (heh...) Upside: No rent. I got my taxes back and I owe $3,000 in taxes. Part of this is because I am a Gaijin (Foreigner) so they overcharge us out the a**, the other part I believe is because my old company NOVA that went bankrupt stopped paying our taxes. So this is also a shitton of back taxes that in theory, I've already paid. YAY!!!! stressed scream Downside: The $4,000 I've frugly saved is pretty much gone. After realizing I've been a hermit for so long only to have my money RIPPED AWAY anyway. I've gone out and pulled an all nighter every weekend for the last 4 weekends. Which means I only have $500 to last me till the end of this month when I get paid. heh. I'm also going to be $1,000 in the hole as in August I'm going back to Canada to visit my grandma before she dies. (No she's not sick, just really really old. So who knows?) And to generally avoid the hottest month in Japan. Downside: -$1,000 in non-savings. I've canceled my World of Warcraft subscription because that's time and $12 a month I'm saving. I'm going to stick to a budget. I've joined the Manga club at my school so I'll be harassing students and getting them to haass me about drawing. So yea... Hopefully I'll still be able to save some moneys. How much do any of you know about Paypal and setting up and account so other people can give you moneys? |

You simply register with them and have a bank account that they can take and put funds into. Getting money from other people is a bit harder... if it's a specific person you can easily send a message to their email address that has a link which will automatically set them up to pay money to your account. There's even a button in your Paypal account screen for this function. That's easy as pie. Alternatively, if someone just wants to go to Paypal and click the "Send Money" they can just type in your username and pass off all of their children's college fund to you. Or whatever they want. I imagine though that what you want is a nifty little button link that people can click on which will then allow them to magically make money fall from the sky above you. I'm not sure how to make this little button. It could probably be discovered with research, but I have precious little time for that this morning. Hope that info helps some, at least. |
