12 more pages, finally. Feedback please!

My comic is about a young woman who wakes up in a strange land without any prophesies, epic questing, or world-saving to do! whee

Start here for the 12 most recent pages.

I prefer crits on the newest scene because I update so slowly, but if you want to read from the beginning, there it is.

And here's the thumbnails for the next scene, if anyone's interested.

It's a good thing you told me she was a woman. I don't think I would have known otherwise. ******** manga. Making me second-guess people's genders.

I'm liking it so far. Just having her explore a world she isn't familiar with sounds like a kickass idea to me.

Ha, I get that now and then. I think it's her big nose that throws people. lol

Thanks for reading!

I think it's because I'm also used to artists who try to draw attention to their female characters' chests either through perspective or character design. Your characters' clothes don't really emphasize the fact that she has breasts.

This is what I get for reading ecchi all the time. I just can't help it, though. Everyone has their vice for stupid writing and ecchi is mine.

Super busty but stick thin women in comics make me rolleyes Same for the ultra effeminate men. rolleyes
Been there drawn that let's move along now.

There, changed the title. Hopefully there will be some more responses now! whee

New page!

Hm, I do like the way the trees look on the new page. Your art was sort of inconsistent at the beginning, but it looks like it's gradually getting more consistent as the comic goes on. I'd still say for you to work anatomy, though. Also, the background here is a bit confusing(is that the word I'm looking for?), but at least you make backgrounds, so that should get better with time.

I'm liking how you drew that tree. Very neat, however, I would stay away from the grain effect. Flat grey looks some much better

@ FurryMink
I hate that panel more each time I look at it. I'm gonna redraw that background this weekend.

@Potato Lord
I added the grain because I thought a texture might look better with my lines. I can switch it back to a flat tone this weekend.

Thanks guys biggrin

Now with the flat tones. Feedback?

I'll be honest. It looks better with the flat tone, but the pattern makes me think of fur.

Do you have a picture of the tree you were referencing?

Ah, okay. I honestly don't see many trees like that since I live in the city. That texture really doesn't seem to fit, though. It might help if you add minor details to the patches between the cracks of the bark.

Cigarettes are back. Now if I only smoked...

Okay, I'll give that a try next weekend.

Anything / anyone else? smile

I liked the grain. Texture is visually more interesting. Especially with nature.
