Here is how my first UNFINISHED page looks so far... I am very unhappy with the shading and I only have Paint tool SAI. Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Do you want the pages soft-shaded or digitally screen-toned? I'm lucky enough to be getting Photoshop CS5 soon and I have Gimp right now which I'm pretty okay with. I'm not exactly the fastest shader in the world and I'm taking college courses right now so I may be a little slower than normal, but I can try. If you'd like I can shade or tone something and show you what I can do and then you can decide if it's what you want.

That's screen-tone. I have a tiny bit of experience. I've colour-toned something once before and it turned out okay.

It's not exactly what the other picture is like but I think that with the experience I've gained since then I may be even better than I was when I shaded and floored that. If you're willing to give me a chance I can certainly try.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm not on my computer right now so I wont be able to start till tomorrow, but I'll show you as soon as I'm done. Is there a specific direction for the shadows or a specific feel for the scene? Also, is there a clean lineart that I can shade?

Also, it is a normal feel right now. The second page is showing a dream though so it will change.

Okay. If we do partner up would it be possible for you to tell me how you want the shading on the pages to feel? I know you mentioned a dream sequence, for those I normally go with darker kinds weird shading, but if you wanted say a softer more feathery shade would you tell me? Otherwise I'll just do what I think feels right with the flow.

I will always make sure to tell you. Right now though, this page is just a soft normal tone feel I think with small darker undertones. Hope I am making sense.
