Meyer is special needs. That's all I have to say.

Kersian: Yes is is.

I read all of the Twilight series. I have no idea why. It was the most awful sort of masochism. She misuses words so much.

Apparently a lot of people have done this. People who normally are very discerning about literature fall prey to it's very "sexy" premise of a human girl having an affair with a vampire. It doesn't make it good, though it makes it akin to a harlequin romance novel. You know, with the Fabio covers.

And I do love those Fabio covers.

It wasn't even the premise, though. It was like watching a gargantuan train wreck in slow motion.

I have glanced at some of the pages in bookstores to see what the hubbub was about, literally couldn't read any more. It's written so badly.

Oh good.

Oh my gosh Stephenie Meyer writes her books giving me the impression that she cracked open a thesaurus and said while writing her book, "Hmm which words will go with whatever."

All I can say is, you can be a sucessful writer if you know Stephenie Meyer is a horrible writer and you don't follow her example.

Sadly, Kersian, that is not the only qualification. It's a big first step, though.

Lol I guess that is true, there's a lot of things to cover. I guess what I was trying to say was don't be afraid of criticism especially constructive ones, cause if you avoid them or you don't answer to them then you can never really improve.

My mom is a professional editor. The concept of brushing off actual constructive criticism is mond-boggling to me; I've been thoroughly indoctrinated.

The idea the Meyer went to college and got a degree - ostensibly writing several essays in the process that had to be graded - and still has such a terrible grasp of the language is almost offensive.

Well, the book is essentially based on a sexual fantasy-type dream she had, so I don't even know if she expected it to get so popular. I don't think she can be that bright.

Yeah and Meyer is just well since her book was based off a girl's sexual fantasy I can see how that got many teenage girls attention.

Even Robert Pattison said when he read his character script he said it was like reading Meyer's sexual fantasies.

Well when she finished her book and went looking for an agent and the first two, somewhere around there, turned her down she got all whiny.

Meyer said this and I quote, "I will state, for the record, that my queries truly sucked, and I don't blame anyone who sent me a rejection (I did get seven or eight of those. I still have them all, too). The only rejection that really hurt was from a small agent who actually read the first chapter before she dropped the axe on me. The meanest rejection I got came after Little, Brown had picked me up for a three-book deal, so it didn't bother me at all. I'll admit that I considered sending back a copy of that rejection stapled to the write-up my deal got in Publisher's Weekly, but I took the higher road."

She is just so ugh.

I often wonder how the actors sleep at night knowing they're helping to popularize something I bet many of them feel is terrible.

That would be like me working on a new Terminator or Matrix movie.

******** you, Gaia. Give us back our cigarettes.

Yeah I always wondered about that, but it's business I guess, they do whatever they want.

The actors sleep on beds of money. I hear they're quite for sending you to sleep despite pangs of conscience.
