the story is funny, and i think you should make a little more effort on the art (: stick figures are awesome, but having more of a style would let people know that you're serious about the comic you are making ;3

You are wrong. Art is not just "what you feel man" True it's about it expression. It is also about technical skill. And about making decisions on the art because it goes to your idea and intent, not blindly doing things because you don't know better. Acquired taste? There is nothing to warm up to. Nothing to understand. Your joke isn't funny, your idea isn't clever. And the fact that you are even implying that the reason people are critiquing you is because they don't understand? Oh boy.
