Welcome to Gaia! ::

lol no the style that i want it to be is crappy looking, if i could draw better i wouldn't because i like the effect the stick figures give.
lol nice. did u turn ur chat off?

So basically you don't care how it looks. Art should not look like s**t. It can look simple; it cannot look like s**t. If your art looks like s**t, there's really no excuse for it except for lack of experience.

I doubt I'm going to be the only one who refuses to pat your head for a doodle you did in the middle of class on some notebook paper you had.

Even excusing the stick figures it still has horrid panelling, illegible handwriting, and unfunny 'plot'.

Ugh...XDCD can be funny sometimes, but oh how I loath the trend it started.

I'm pretty sure the great artists of yesteryear are rolling in their graves. We should be pushing art forward, not resorting to claiming our feces is artful like a bunch of ******** cavemen.

Thank you for initiating the segue into my planned statement.

The OP's comics are to XKCD what 12-year-olds' paint-made sprite comics are to 8-Bit Theater.

Kid sees cleverly written comic with seemingly easy artwork.
Kid wants to replicate.
Kid replicates.
Kid creates hellspawn garbage to end up among thousands of other similar projects by similar kids in a massive trash heap most outsiders commonly refer to as "The Internet."

What makes 8-Bit Theater and XKCD great is, they're actually good. The artists put in a lot of effort into writing a clever and funny series, and it shows. They also don't just slap together something on lined paper or in MS Paint - I know 8-Bit Theater is made in Photoshop (at least), with various non-8-bit effects and additions. The artist of XKCD has actually enhanced his art style a lot over the years (though skill obviously showed in earlier parts of the series), and really only does stick figures because it's become iconic for the series.

In December 2004, Duchamp's Fountain was voted the most influential artwork of the 20th century by 500 selected British art world professionals. The Independent noted in a February 2008 article that with this single work, Duchamp invented conceptual art and "severed forever the traditional link between... art... and... merit".
I can't believe a urinal was voted the most influential artwork of the twentieth century.

Call me small-minded, but I just don't get it.

Most influential != best

Basically, Fountain changed a lot of things and started a whole new... thing. Honestly I don't feel that it was a positive influence, but it changed things and we can't deny that.

I think stick comics still can be good, but I agree with what is said here.

Stick comics are a way to get humor out when you can't draw. It's just expected of you to put what skills you are capable of in there.

it is supposed to be crappy looking

You succeeded beyond your wildest dreams.
Art is an aquired taste. you dont understand it if you dont want to.
The same thing goes with things that are funny.

Oh, no. I can see stickmen as hilarious. Cyanide and Happiness gets plenty of chuckles out of me. I just happen to think that if you're going to have a simple art style the least you can do is use rulers, decent paper, and keep your hand from shaking like you have Parkinson's.

@parkinglot90: Bill Engvell? Funny. Jim Carrey? Funny. Family Guy? Funny. Tim Schafer games? Also funny. Gabriel Iglesias? Hilarious.

It does not take someone of refined taste in humor to know that your comics are not funny.
in case you did not notice i posted new comics the first one was before i tried measuring them out and the last 3 are after, can you comment on them plz?
