I think pregnancy is gross to any rational human being, just some are willing to go through it anyway. I have been waiting for an excuse to post this. There are plenty of people who don't want kids and the number seems to be increasing.

You shouldn't want the title of the youngest (and I don't think I have that title either actually). Since most of the regulars are well out of their teens, you constantly wonder if they lump you into the 'retarded teen' category. Like for example (not calling her out, I actually quite like her) I'm pretty sure I heard Ironspike say that she wouldn't read the comic of anyone in the teens because she believes they didn't have the right stuff. It makes me kind of sad because when I reach page twenty (halfway there now) of my comic I plan on posting it for critique, but I'm scared that the forum's regs might go into it with the 'stupid teen' lenses on. Wow that ended up being longer than I intended.

Yes, someone agrees pregnancy is gross! I just really hate the thought of something living inside me and FEEDING off me for nine months *shudders*. Also, I need to show that article to my mom and while reading it, I thought of someone saying: "I love my kids, but GOD they make my life suck." And I think that MAY be how some people end up with shitty parents.

And I look at it this way: people are the same. You have teenagers who suck, but you have older people who suck. Gearfish is also still in high school but no one has reacted all "TEEN! NO! GTFO!" towards her. I think it mainly depends on the attitude you come in here with.

Mr McGrumpypants: Good, you can help me create a list of people who don't want kids to prove to people that childless woman does not automatically equal crazy cat lady. But if I'm going to be a crazy cat lady, the cats are gonna be tigers.

Or at the very least, I'm adopting so I don't have to get pregnant (for some reason sex is repulsive to me) and I can skip the "sleeps 4 hours and then cries" stage and then I can hang "I adopted you, dammit" over their heads.

You have a point with Gearfish. And you know what you're probably right. As long as i'm receptive to criticism and i don't start being a d**k, I should probably be fine. On a slightly unrelated note I remember when i first got serious about making my comic happen, I would stay up all night on TvTropes damn near pulling my hair out because I was scared that my story was too much like this or too much like that.

If you want me to be honest about pregnant woman in general they are really disgusting looking to me. I would never say that to a pregnant woman or make her feel uncomfortable about it (because if you want kids,that's cool with me) but I have to suppress the urge to gag whenever one is around me (I don't know how I managed to not say anything throughout my best friend's pregnancy)

You're better than me. When I see pregnant women I want to scream, "YOU LOOK MUTATED!" But that would be rude, of course. Also, childbirth makes me think of something bursting out of your body like in Alien.

And as for TvTropes, think of it this way: it would be probably be impossible to avoid them all. The trick is using them well, or at the very least be able to justify it. Also, there's a difference(imo) between using a trope and using a cliche.

I wouldn't adopt because I couldn't deal with their mommy/daddy abandonment issues. Which makes me the worst parent of the lot of you.

Considering how sex-crazed society is, doesn't seem to tmi to mention it.

Though I want to beat the living s**t out of anyone who replies to my asexuality (lack of sex... though if only I could make fully formed clones with mitosis.....) with "You need to get laid." ...and they have... and people wonder why I hate them... ((the worst was this dumbass who kept whining I was being snippy in IM and I told him to go away if he thought I was a jerk and then he kept asking "why are you a jerk?" he was too stupid to live to the best of my estimation... because previously he kept askig for logic in a gag strip after I said "that detail is not important to the gag" at least five times... I don't want kids and contraception grosses me out too so having sex has no purpose in my existence. I don't get why some people find that so hard to grasp.

We've gotten way past the point of human survival where the tribe would be ******** doomed if we didn't try to breed like rabbits...


I'm also tempted to beat the s**t out of a user who posted on Ask Altair that Leonardo Da Vinci must be gay because he analyzed naked corpses... but they posted anonymously so I just deleted them.

I'm somewhere between happy a clam and axe-crazy right now... I have a couple events that make me giddy as all Hell, but my irritation tolerance is incredibly low at the moment also...

I have bad experiences with adoption. I'm not adopted, but my aunt and uncle adopted a kid when I was a toddler. I don't remember much, but I do remember playing with him a bit. He didn't get along well with women because he had been abused, but just as he was warming up to the women in the family, my aunt pulled a really b***h move and sent him back just before Christmas because he said something bad to her. From what I understand, what he said wasn't all that bad. The rest of my family doesn't seem to think so, anyway.

Needless to say, Social Services does not like my family much as a result.
