I wonder, if an escort is just an escort and not also a prostitute, which would be cheaper?

Depends.
Nope. You're paying for their company. Technically, since you're not paying for sex (or it would be illegal), they aren't required to have sex with clients. (Though, it's obvious they won't get business if they don't.) The price doesn't change. They all have pricelists you can look at if you're researching. I was doing research when I wanted to see if it was cheaper to hire an escort or a cleaning lady. xd

Yea but it depends, Some prostitutes are quite cheap depending on what you want and some escorts are quite expensive because they're the "tops" at their club. Plus it differs from country to country and so on. Each escort is different and each escort company is different so yea the price list differs. It even differs if the company expects the girls to sleep with the clients or not. (My friend worked as a hostess for a year and she was explicitly told NEVER to sleep with a client. Even if she wanted to, even if they paid extra, even if they personally liked them and were doing it for free. They didn't want to sell sex, and the Mama-san believed once a man got sex from a place they'd either expect it, or never come back.)

I've always wondered, if a character dresses like a hooker and acts like a hooker, why not just make her a hooker?

These things I ponder when I've nothing to do. Well, I should be finishing a comic page but I feel like crap and thusly will draw like crap. I mean, more so than usual.

All anime and comic books would be populated entirely with hookers. The market would be so flooded that you'd be able to buy sex for pennies. There would be almost no one to work normal jobs, leading to economic collapse and people being forced to sell their bodies for money in an endless vicious circle.

Plus there are plenty of women who dress and act that way and indeed are not hookers. They're just skeezy.
I think I've just seen sooo many characters like that, who have no personality and contribute nothing to the plot, I just can't help but think, "We know why this character exists. Just go all the way with it." Or maybe I've just become really cynical.
I'm sitting here trying to make a snappy comment about how this sounds like every Frank Miller comic ever, but it's too early in the morning.
Well, I did say before that Frank Miller seems to be incapable of writing women who aren't prostitutes, strippers, bitches, or just an air-headed slut. Seriously, look at what he's done to Catwoman, Vicki Vale(d**k GRAYSON, AGE 12), Wonder Woman...And I don't even LIKE Catwoman all that much. :/

God, I need to actually read that.

A link because I think I pretty much have to.
Haha, I've read that review. See, at least I can say that comic makes me laugh, but part of me also REALLY want to believe it's a stealth parody, but the other part of me isn't so hopeful.

And seriously, Miller makes Batman come off like a *****.
It's sad because I really like his style. Sin City is a pretty cool universe. It's just that the way he portrays female character is headdesk-inducing.

In other news, I have a problem with my comic today. Two words: cathedral interior.

Ouch! Good luck, Glance. I feel your pain, I really do.
You know, I've been watching F.E.A.R. Let's Plays, and I've always wondered: did the ATC ever try using orphans for their experiments or getting babies from women who don't want them? I mean, I would think they'd be less likely to get caught doing that than experimenting on kids with families. Although, the ATC is pretty evil, so maybe they really have; you know, considering the people who work there. Still. Kids with families,or rather, kids with families who actually care, seems like a pretty big risk. I say kids with families who care because, well, look at what Alma's dad did to her. And where the hell was her mom? Dead? Ran off? Didn't give ******** either?

Also, when F.E.A.R. 3 comes out, I'll let Alma give birth on the off-chance it comes out like a chestburster. 8D
Somehow I bet she would be much more creepier than the original chestburster scene. I mean...sorry, that alien was just so mood killer for some " gonk "-scene and then go "AWWW! THAT'S SO CUTE!".
I always thought chestbursters were kind of ugly-cute. >w<

But yeah, knowing what Alma does at the end of F.E.A.R. is going to have me going, "... gonk ..." throughout the birthing scene. Actually, that was my reaction at the end of F.E.A.R. 2. ...Which is why when I get to the 'kill it or let it live' part, I'll probably be screaming, "KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!" And we all know she's totally giving birth to the Antichrist, anyway.

That review was the best thing I've read all night.
That series was just...mind boggling. Absolutely bizarre.

I still laugh every time I read The Dark Knight Returns though. heh
Yet I think when I read Sin Cit...ys? Cities? In my teens, they felt pretty much same as watching any sort of action flick. I mean, of course, you cant find any excuse writing bad woman characters constantly, yet with those books there were sort of...well, I just accept hookers and such much more easily, because they are sort of acting in mens rules. Thinking, how kitch Sin City really is plainly trying to be so "MAAAAAANLYYYY!", floozy women just fits in there better than nagging wife or the cute girl from next door with an IQ of the banana.
Then again, I have no clue about Miller's other works, since...well, the older I get, the more and more out of search, repugnant and repulsive all the Marvel and DC universes appear to be.

Did you just say d**k Grayson?

I hear he's Age 12!

...

I liked catwoman, but once other people started playing with her she just got weird.
