You must tell him not to edit!! The whole point of NaNo is quantity over quality - so rarely is that the rule that you might as well bloody make the most of it. I know that I have trouble getting my inner editor to shut up, but sometimes it's the only way to move past a horrible bit and reach the wordcount for the day. Besides, you can go back and edit to your heart's content after you've finished.

I'm up to 3,813. The scene that I'm writing is developing quite nicely, but I don't know when it's going to end. I need to go to bed at some point! Also, I do way too many bracketed asides in my writing. x3

4,016 words! I'm still only halfway through the scene - if that - but I can't think of what to write next immediately and it's ten past 1, so I'm off to bed. I've been slightly obsessively inputting my wordcount into the NaNo site xD I like to watch that little bar on my graph go up (even though it goes up about a millimetre every thousand words. It's still worth it).
