The Sequential Art Society at my school is hosting it in the common room one one of the school apartment complexes.
smile I'm going in organized and prepared so I have a fair shot. It's my first year!
Supplies: I'll write it down here so I don't forget to pack anything tonight.
Mechanical pencils, 4 comic inking pen set, erasers, 8.5x11 cardstock.
Sketchbook to draw thumbnails in.
Prismacolor markers. I might need a splash of color for emphasis here and there!
Tarot cards. I learned to read them over the course of a few months in order to write a story very quickly.
Reference pictures for the setting I'm working with. Uniforms, crowds of people's faces, machines, spaceships, space stations, etc.
Figure mannequins in case I want to do a heavily foreshortened pose.
Hoodie because I get really cold when I pull all nighters.
Mirror for expressions and hand poses.
Food in case I don't like what the club provides.
Powdered asprin. I often get headaches while writing.
Coffee maker and teabags.
My daily medication. I'll be a hot mess if I don't take it.
Fresh clothes, toothbrush and paste to help keep awake.
Online egg timer to track how long I have for each phase of each hour.
Phone for music and additional reference pictures.
Power strip to keep my phone and coffee maker powered. There'll be dozens of people so we need a lot of outlets.
Right now I'm doing my homework for Monday since I expect to be braindead or asleep on Sunday. I have to do a 10 minute presentation on game development and the art pipeline.
