Joseph looked over his computer in agony. He had done something truly significant in the field of science, yet no one believed him.
He looked at his desktop for quite some times. His eyes staring at the phrase that should've made him famous, but to his surprised caused him to become an outcast, a lunatic in the eyes of people in his beloved town.

Time and time again he had tried to tell others that he had made a huge break. But now, he couldn't even get anyone to talk to him about it anymore. They looked down on him, told others that he was a lunatic, crazy. Tears came to his eyes but he wiped them away. He was stronger than what they thought. He would show them.

Right, he told himself firmly, tearing his eyes reluctantly from the neon haze of the computer screen, if you're going to mope around and be pathetic, you'd better do it the right way- people think you're crazy Joseph, but one thing they can't accuse you of is doing anything half-heartedly.
So, picking himself up off his swivel chair, he dragged his feet over to the kitchen and poured himself a cup of tea. Pulling on his comfiest sweater he began to traipse back to the computer, and it was round about this time, whilst he was drowning in the dregs of his self-pity, that the bright blip of an email flipped through the quiet room.

"You have new mail!" his computer crooned at him.
