Welcome to Gaia! ::

Currently, I am obsessed with the third movement of Mahler's 1st symphony. He takes the classic "Frere Jacques" and turns it into a funeral march that's incredibly haunting.

Oh no! This is going to be a tough decision. Mind if I list a few of my favorites?

Edvard Greig's Shepard's Boy Op. 54

Edvard Greig's Death of Ase from his Peer Gynt Suite

Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique

Dvorak's Serenade in E

Maurice Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin Menuet

Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 8 in C minor is a current favorite.

Currently, I'm in love with Shostakovich's 5th. I got to see it performed at Carnegie Hall last year, but never really enjoyed it until I found a recording of it at my local library. I also am rather fond of Beethoven in general.
I love a lot of music compositions, but my favorite is definatly one from Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. The organ is one of the best instruments ever criated. heart

Composed in 1723, The Four Seasons is Vivaldi's best-known work, and is among the most popular pieces of Baroque music.
