Greetings, I have enjoyed both of their styles and there are some similarities in their playing styles, but their life experiences do come out in their music. Stevie could play Jimi to the tee and if Jimi were still alive I don't believe he could of played like Stevie. Jimi used a much lighter string gauge then Stevie and I also preferred Stevie's vocals to Jimi's. But with all that said I love both them and they both have influenced my playing style. I love Blues, Rock and most other flavors of music.
