wow that's a tough one there are so many amazing pieces... at the moment one of my absolute favs is Schubert's Ave Maria, the melody is so moving and emotional there are just no words to describe it.
This version literally brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it and it still does

sure i can
there's some songs i like from movies that are amazing in my opinion, but I'm not sure what you'll think of them. but they're mostly done by the same person

Joe Hisaishi Live performance - Howl Moving Castle Main them, Sixth Station - Spirited Away, and I'm not really sure about this but there is this band called apocalyptica. they are all trained cellosists, and they do some amazing sounding stuff with them.

That's all I can really thinkk of at the moment, sorry if they aren't that good.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but...
It would be really hard to find a "favourite", as there is just so much music out there, but I love Chopin's Ballade No. 1.

Nocturnes, Op. 9 (Chopin)

Absolutely soothes my nerves.
I hope to play it someday. rolleyes
I have a lot of favorite pieces, but my current favorite would be Contre Qui, Rose by Morten Lauridsen (both the choir and wind ensemble versions are absolutely beautiful!)
