Beethoven rocks! Mozart was a genius, but for myself his pieces don't touch my heart the way Beethoven's do.

I have to say that I think that Beethoven was good, but Mozart was a fantistic man.
So I have to say Mozart.

I tend to favor Beethoven's pieces. But as we all agree they were both genius

haha, a friend and i discussed this yesterday! smile
both are good composers...

i mozart's pieces are very simple, but your technique is very exposed.
beethoven's pieces have, i feel, a bit more feeling to them, they are more emotional, but at the same time i find them a bit melodramatic.

personally i'm not really a big fan of either, though both of them have composed a few of my favourites, so ya..
and i am entitled to my opinion, as are all the others, so please don't hate me for this

I think that's just asking, "But what about for viola?"

Point made. mrgreen

...All of the violinists had been throwing us dirty looks, but we didn't care.

It's impossible to choose which is better!!! They where both musical geniuses, they had different cualitties that made them unique but never better than the other.

heart Sweetness heart

i like both but mozart is more fun to play ^.^ and by fun i mean challenging

Dvorak? no props for him...ok well personally i like Beethoven better just becuase he has more of a contrast between his pieces...Now Mozart may have composed greater pieces, but alot of them sound very similar.
which is somthing Beethoven never really ran into...but Mozart was also known for such great dynamic contrast...

CHOPIN! biggrin

da howbbit
I'm a Mozart fan myself. ^_^

But I'm primarily a singer, and Beethoven didn't write a hell of a lot of vocal pieces so I could be slightly biased. I still love him though, he can't help it that I'm not as madly in love with him as I am with dear old Wolfie. heart

It's all a matter of taste. I prefer Beethoven, although some of Mozart's is very awesome too. Other parts by Beethoven are yawn. So there's good and bad about both, but, I prefer Beethoven.

I'm actually more taken with Beetoven. He just shows his feelings a little bit better than Mozart.
