Muscle weights more then fat does.

You're doing something wrong.

Actually,I'm doing something right. emotion_awesome
The first month focuses on burning the fat.
The second and third month focuses on the muscle growth. 3nodding

Now you're doing something wrong, you're taking me serious.

I was joking in a challenging manner.

Be careful. Sometimes rapid weight loss does more harm. Usually healthy and more permanent weight loss takes more time. Once you get to your goal fitness level, don't just quit and go back to the old habits. Health and fitness is a lifetime commitment.

Not for me it isn't...

All it took for me was a forty-five minute walk each day. Dropped nearly forty pounds in a month doing that.

O_O.....

..... Stupid men and their ability to lose weight easily ¬_¬

I walk 8-9 hours a day and include lifting around 800 30lb bags of dog food, pulling anywhere from 10 to 20 500+ lb skids, and carrying around 50lb boxes all day...and I've lost maybe... 4 lbs in the last 6 months, if that. By the end of my work day I'm sweating balls. (I work in a pet/vet supply warehouse)

That's harsh... It might also help that I have a ridiculous fast metabolism too...

I hear you D:
losing weight is not that easy. but I managed to stay on the same weight for the past year.
since I go to the gym 2-3 times a week. and I don't eat as much fast foods and sugar and eating whole wheat bread instead of white bread. so pretty much I'm on a healthy weight for my age.
and there are those times when I can't go... gonk

Alex: That would be a pretty big factor in it I would say.

Katee: Ah I see I see. I get my workout at work so I don't go to the gym. Lol. Just curious, what's the meaning behind your username? (Is a huge Daniel Cloud Campos fan. That boy can dance like no ones business!)

lol! so pretty much it's physical activity and just eat right!

funny thing about that..

And about my username..my good friend who has a similar name to 'katee' (so her name was Kate) and the word 'cloud' just means I like the sky and I plan on studying meteorology, astronomy and geography a lot when I get older.

(lol I have heard of Daniel Cloud Campos. A very great dancer! )

I'm pretty sure metabolism has something to do with the rate your body burns stored energy at to power muscles or aid in healing or something... I'm pretty sure Thymen would know more than me, all of my knowledge comes from Fallout and what little I know from personal experience.

But like anything in your body, you can teach your metabolism to do tricks! If you're in Canada (Are you still in Canada?) you can ask your doctor or weight-loss consultant what he or she thinks you can do to speed up your metabolism. I remember a while ago my old-man weighed in at 240 pounds, and ever since he started Tai-Chi he's dropped back down to 215.

Funny note on that, ever since I started working a nine-to-five shift five days a week I was able to start my self, and I've actually gained muscle weight I thought I lost when I got laid-off...
I don't know s**t about metabolism.

I do know you burn calories faster in cold weather.
Assuming you're cold too, that is.

Alex: Interesting. I want to start Tai Chi. I did Yoga for a few months once. And Qi Gong looks neat too.

Thy: That's because your body has to burn extra calories to keep it warm. However, I would imagine the opposite would likely happen too where (because of the cold) the body would store more fat and lower the metabolism during inactivity in the cold as a survival mechanism.
