Well, it would be cool, but there are drawbacks

you know there are only skinny people in anime (no fun at all)
and there are no colored people in anime (WAY no fun, I want diversity! bring in the cultures!)
i like the way i look and the way my friends look. wouldn't change us for the world ^^

sure, a world were possibilities are endless would be nice, but everyone is so frikkin' flawless in anime that there is no fun in being yourself.
