I think they are talking about the primary antagonists, Yaag Rosch is not a primary villain, he is a minor antagonist, in Final Fantasy XIII the primary antagonists are Barthandelus and Orphan, Barthandelus has grey hair in his human form because he is old. Not even half of the games have primary antagonists with silver/grey hair, and besides, how is having blue, purple or silver/grey hair gay? Characters are designed to a theme, don't bother trying to start another argument with me, i'm not going to respond because i have many better things to do.
That colour being gay part was not aimed at you, i tried to quote someone else and it didn't work, stop jumping down my throat.

when they desided to give like almost all villins gray (or for u fan girls silver) hair?? or blue or purple like it is all in the gay scale if u have not notised. i swear we should just change the word gray to final fantasy villin. o wot color did u paint your kitchen? i painted it final fantasy villin. rolleyes

VII~IX was the age of silver hair for villains.
Seymour, yes, had blue hair, but he isn't exactly human. Jecht meanwhile had dark brown hair.
Vayne had brown or black hair. Galenth has gray hair, because he takes on the form of an OLD MAN.
Yes, Caius has purple hair. But what about the other villains?
Mateus has blonde, COD had GREEN hair for god's sake, ExDeath is a tree, Cefca is blonde, Rufus is also blonde, Reno has red hair, Edea has black hair, Seifer has blonde hair...

The overwhelming majority of the villains do not have silver hair. The ones that do, well, Final Fantasy follows anime rules. You Gotta Have Blue Hair.

Because silver tends to reflect on the dark colored outfit, making the villain stand out more.

If they had say black hair, they would look like a very boring character because they would just be a black/dark colored blob walking around. Adding silver makes it stand out more, and makes them look a bit badass at the same time.

For some other villains, who are quite good, have experience and may be wiser. Having silver/gray hair when being older shows experience. Sephiroth knows how to make Cloud twitch and go mad, Ultimecia knows various forms of magic and be able to twist time and space. Kuja knows how to manipulate others into his bidding. Lady Yunalesca has to get summoners to give up their guardian for the Final Aeon that will kill them. Yaag is a blood-thirsty commander who wants to make sure he wipes out Pulse l'Cie. Dysley tries to manipulate the l'Cie into destroying Cocoon rather than destroy. The Remnants are out in order to seek a higher form to bring the most evil thing back to the Planet and complete her wishes to destroy it.

But do note, some heroes also have silver hair. Cecil and Hope being two examples that pop into my head. Cecil and Hope are able to bring out the leader in themselves and be able to help others much better than the other characters to a point (Hope was more of a follower, but sometimes his words got through to the XIII group) that they can achieve much more.

As for villians with colorful hair like Caius, it just goes the same way when it came to outfits.

6 bad guys have silver hair, that is only half the games (not counting the spin offs) blue/purple are colors on their own not grey scale so they don't count.

So we have:

Sephiroth (not counting Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo because they are Sephiroth so of course they would have silver hair.)

Golbez

Kuja

Ultimecia

Emperor

Baralai

6 bad guys with silver hair, that doesn't even make up half the mainstream games, unless my maths is wrong and 6 is meant to make up 90% of the mainstream games and thus reason for this thread.

o__o; Golbez has silver hair? ...I guess he is Cecil's brother. xD I just don't remember seeing it.

I was more distracted by the fact that she fashioned her hair into horns to realize that Ultimecia's hair was silver. xD And doesn't the Emperor have, like, gold hair? I'm not discounting your evidence, because you're right on all those counts, but just defending my own. That it's hard to call them silver haired, even though they are...or silverish. xD Because Golbez is mostly a ton of black armor, Ultimeciais all...fashioned-nightmared out...And the Emperor looks silvery blonde.

Definitely Kuja and Sephiroth, though. And Ultimecia, even if I didn't notice at first. PS1 = Silver hair villains.
