I am SO not a Wiccan. I have just read the right books by the founder of Wicca.

It's name known as Wicca maybe is that old, but the philosophy of it has been around for so long.

And the philosophy is...

The term witch comes from the age old finger pointing attitude, "If something goes wrong, and someone seems odd, it's their fault."

The philosophy of true Wicca is pleasure, that life is meant to be enjoyed, not a test.

But should two different religions share the same name when they worship different deities and have different rites?

Simple answer: No. If one religion is different from another and already has a perfectly good name, USE THAT NAME. Call a spade a ******** shovel, already.

Which is why Wicca and Eclectic-neopaganism are two completely different religions with different names. One is a fertility cult and the other is a what you want it to be religion.

If I got my whole start with Scott Cunningham's guide for solitaries, am I following Wicca, like it says on the cover of the book, or does that lump me in with the Eclectic Neos? Clarification is needed.

Gardner took philosophies from many different cultures. His Wicca, because he founded the religion, is the only true Wicca I have seen so far.

No. We have source texts (bibles, Eddas, Homeric Hymns, Book of the dead ect) and personal Gnosis.

Based on the fact that you said a Wiccan has to be a super human with extraordinary powers, one could assume that you are an otherkin. As a superhuman goes under that category.
