By most defintions I have read, it's something like The joining of two people.
And to be honest, there is absolutely nothing wrong with same sex marriage. Love is what you make it. It can be close, far, international, private, hidden, etc,etc. You shouldn't tell people what to do, it's not like they're interfearing with your own personal life.

I'm just looking out for the greater good of society. What do I care personally if two people get together?

But who decides which dictionary is correct? All that dictionaries do is include words used at a high frequency. In newer dictionaries, I have heard, they include stupid as a definition of gay, and that Webster's newest dictionary in particular includes a second definition of marriage as being between members of the same sex.

I think that what Lost means is that you're against change in words, which means you could be against change in general. Change has generally been good for humanity, allowing us to advance as a species.

And words have been changing for thousands of years, so much so that they become obsolete and replaced. How is having a new word for an old definition any different from having a new definition for an old word?
