Any relationship that I've been in that progressed to the point of saying "I love you" had a good basis for both parties to understand the context of that statement.

My Babel reference came from the Bible, but the implications are not entirely religious. Put a bunch of people in the same room who don't speak each others' languages and they're not gonna talk.

And it doesn't affect me specifically. But when I die and the world is in ruins, it'll be the problem of future societies. The same way the economy is affecting the innocent younger generations today.

Difference between different languages is not the same as difference within a single language. Sure, there may be confusion when we have words defined differently within the same language than someone else but we can explain those differences within the language. If you're so sure about the negative effect of words changing meanings then I am sure that etymology would seem like the world should've ended ages ago.

Also, you have not proven any of your statements. Please, cite some evidence at least rather than your own experiences and opinions. Sure, they can be insightful but what you experience isn't the same as what everyone else experiences.

The problem with your point is that lexicon changes. Words change meanings over time. This problem has always been present. Yet, do we find that society is any closer to ending because of it? Again, there has not been just one definition of marriage because there is more than one type of marriage mentioned in the bible. Not only that, the definition of marriage itself has changed through out the years.
