well if the woman pays her part than the man is paying for his own part too. it's a mutual thing. i've never forced a guy to pay for my portion of anything but some of them insist for some reason or another. it's nice, but not necessary. i'd insist that we split the check down the middle but for some reason they'd decide to take me out to a really nice place and pay for the whole thing as if they didn't hear. i don't know whether to be upset that they don't understand why i insist or whether i should be happy that they're generous.
