Neil Young will always have a special place in my heart. His greatest hits album feels like home to me. My mom owned his entire discography before the fire, and I remember snuggling up to her for a bedtime story, with Young playing softly in the background, on a nightly basis. I've roadtripped to Young, and some of his sappier songs were prominently featured when I conceived my sons. More like a soundtrack than a theme song, but if I had to pick one, it would be this. Or "Rockin' in the Free World," but this is more appropriate to my mood tonight.
