When we communicate with each other, what is it that makes our utterances meaningful?

Fellatio refrigerators.

I've been spending my whole life
Pursuing those who built this cell
Lamenting
All the hateful things that happened to me
Now I know
That I cannot turn back and change the past
The only choice to save myself
Is to change what I carry from it

When we communicate with each other, what is it that makes our utterances meaningful?
Mutually agreed upon definitions. -sigh- Point?

Then how do we understand novel utterances?

Meaning can only derive from consciousness.

As in utterances in novels? The heck does that mean?

A meaningless sentence is the opposite of a meaningful sentence. It's pretty binary in that sense. Gertrude Stein straddles the fence, but I'd say she makes no sense personally.

Consecrated Oblivion
Fellatio refrigerators.

Awesome...fragment of some sort.

Through explanation and acceptance via viral use. I.E. catch-phrases. There's an entire subject dedicate to this, why are you here?

Say a computer says a proper english sentence (ex. with microsoft sam or something). It isn't conscious but I could understand it.

I think he means the use of a word to describe something other than its definition. So if I were to say that all the posts in this thread typed in chat-speak.

"if nothing we do matters... , then all that matters is what we do."

"Sore thumbs. Do they stick out? I mean, have you ever seen a thumb and gone 'wow, that baby is sore'?"

Do you have a point? If you answer that for me I'll elaborate.

Not sure I follow... Example?

If you expand you vocabulary and if you make it more deep and full of whichever feeling you are experiencing at that time
