What is love?

Love is difficult to describe. It's feeling absolutely certain about someone, never having a doubt that you love them and a shred of question doesn't ever cross your mind.
It's sharing yourself with someone else, knowing that even if you make mistakes, you'll be loved.
It's wonderful but so often people can't differentiate simple love and being in love. That ends badly.

I just have a simple question to whoever may wish to answer it: Should I tell him I love him?

No "shoulds". The world should means "I don't want to, but they are making me".

If you believe what you feel is love and its important for you to tell your significant other and that person is safe to share your feelings with. Also if you feel your ok with what ever his answer and it will do no harm, than go ahead. Even if you think its not such a great idea, if your not its sure its bad, you may also want to go ahead and say it and see what happens.. Life is live and learn and if you don't participate in your life, you won't get anything done. What ever happens, if your not sure, than you can always make amends to yourself, and possibly the significant other.

Also just about every thing I read about people being in love, looks more like infatuation to me. Still if its important and works for others, than right on.

Its normal to be afraid, it means you care about your well being. We won't know what is on the other side till we try. That is scary, but its also an opportunity to go forward with faith and courage ie. be our true selves. If you coward and feel ashamed, its ok, its an opportunity to try and be compassionate toward yourself. We are here to learn who we really are and have a joyous adventure. Enjoy the world out of being you.

Love is like oxygen, love lifts us up where we belong, all you need is love!

No but seriously, to me, love is simply about adoring a person so much that nothing else matters to you as long as they're happy.

It's really hard to describe. There's many types of love. Family love, romantic love, love for one's self, love for a country, you know. It all depends on the type, I guess.
