I just started taking them this year as a junior.

Currently: World History { the only AP course they allow tenth graders to take }

Next year: US History, English Literature, and an online Art History AP class.

My school hardly has any AP classes...they focus much more on I.B. bullshit.

Man, how do you people manage to take so many AP's?
I just started taking them this year as a junior.

2 sopmore year, 3 classes junior year, and 6 classes next year. I shouldve done AP bio and physics this year, but i diddnt think i can handle it. I now sleep every day in pre-ap physics and keep a 92 average. i could also be taking calulus already if i wasnt lazy my freshman year. xD

It really depends on your teacher as to how the course will go. But with the US History test, make sure you know your literature, people's names, and movements, beucase that's where I got stuck last year.

I tried taking AP classes during my senior year, and I hated them. All of the kids in the classes had known each other for all four years because they had taken the same AP classes together, so I felt isolated. Also, in AP British Literature, there was no room for creativity, which is what I pretty much NEED in an English class. It was all about analyzing other people's work. I thought we might do that for one semester or something, but we did it for the entire year. I was SO happy when that class was over.

The US history one will be 4 and a half hours long, with 3 essays and a multiple choice section. About the same thing with the English language, except I think it might be just two essays, one a rhetorical analasis, and the other an "argument" one. where you agree, disagree, or qualify an authors stance or statement.

I'm taking PreAP (honors) World History I, Biology, and English this year,
so I'm taking AP World History next year (only AP class available to Sophomores), I hope I at least pass the class and don't totally burn out in the process.

Yeah, I regret not taking AP bio this year (would've worked nicely if I'd taken the SAT II Bio after the course). I'm taking 3 next year...I'd previously wanted to take 4 (including AP Micro) but I dropped it thinking it would be overload in senior year to take 4 AP's. But now......after seeing everyone's lists of AP's, I feel I should've done 4 for next year. xp
