" But if we do this, we do it right." Genie voided them out to the lake. " Your suppliment, minor immortality, it'll keep you and the baby safe" Alex handed her the small amber pill, and sat back on a tree.

The baby already has regeneration, immortality makes it harder to hurt him. As for void... void is emptiness. Or at least, emptiness, where emotion should be. It's the exact opposite of element magic, which is why it is the hardest to learn. To control void, you must be able to control your emotions. Try making fire meld with water, earth with air, polar oposites together and then take away all feeling and you will get void. Void is in essence the opposite of existence.
