HOW TO GET YOUR DRAGONS ON THE FRONT PAGE

CODING

First, go to your Scroll (log in, if your not already)

Find the egg or hatching you want, and click "GET CODE"



copy BBCode (for forum signatures) or the BBCode /w TinyURL (for forum signatures)
it doesn't matter to me which you use - but if your dragon gets sick, i will only hide them if you use the first BBC option.





next, come to the Unoffical Dragon Cave Thread(here) , and click post reply

PASTE that code into the message box.
with the text still highlighted - hit CODE



add any other things you feel you need to your post, and when finished, hit submit!!

okay.. how to post dragons without having access tot he scroll.. it's VERY VERY easy

first, copy the url from the egg/hatchlings page

Use the URL button on Gaia to start a Hyperlink - or do it manually. put nothing in for the website title at this point

right click the image, and select "VIEW IMAGE"



like with the previous page, copy the url

http://dragcave.net/image/J9ix/1.gif

Use the Gaia IMG link, or manually code it. DELETE THE "/1" FROM THE CODE!!!!

now.. copy this image code and past it inside the Url you made previously!

once you have this done, you don't have to do it every time! just past the code, and change the last 4 numbers!

MASS POSTING and NAMED HATCHLINGS

So.. this is all well and good, but you have more than one to post!

welcome to my world - i do it every day ^_^

there is a trick to posting mass dragons.. actually there are many

Use the code on the previous post as a template. If you have two eggs/dragosn, copy and paste the code two times:

now - when you view the dragon in question, just copy the last four characters of the url and paste it over the existing characters - both in the url, and in the img section..

now.. lets suppose the next one is a hatchling... whose been named



the url isn't going to be much use now.... you can still copy it and paste it as a url - but you have to view the image again, so it's really more work than you may need to do

like with the previous post - we need to view the image

now - copy the 4 digit code from the url - and paste like you did before
