Perhaps, a debate with someone who holds a different view than me and actually has the ability to back themselves up?

That would be quite an occurance.
Hey, I can dream, can't I?

But seriously, if you can find an intelligent person who disagrees with what I wrote, direct them this way! Please?

Oh, and I found an awesome blog entry on trans issues and feminism- it can be found here.

Will check when more free time is obtained.

i'm a rather traditional type person. i don't belive in homosexuality (but if a girl loves a girl or a guy loves a guy- they can do that, i'm not gonna, but that shouldn't keep them from doing so) i think guys are atracted to girls and vice versa.

This is pretty flawed. Homosexuals quite literally can't be attracted to people of the opposite sex no matter how hard they may try.

But transgender has little to nothing to do with homosexuality.

Equating them is paying mind to incorrect stereotypes.

but just cause i'm straight and i don't know any guys that like to dress like a girl dousn't change any thing for any one else...

so pretty much, while i don't agree don't do some thing that makes you unhappy!

I suppose that's good enough, since you are perfectly willing to not allow your own views to impinge on the rights and lives of others.

Out of curiousity, do you actually oppose transgender individuals being transgender? And if so, why?

(as for further discussion on your opposition to homosexuality, either send a PM or move it to a homosexuality topic, because its off topic here. Thanks.)
I'm just curious as to what seperates say a Tomboy from the little known Drag King?

A Tomboy is a person who's actions, dressing style and personality don't match up to enough stereotypes of how women are allegedly supposed to act that they resemble a boy in those actions, personality traits and dressing style. It isn't actively done to appear more boylike nor does it stem from any kind of gender identity related factors.

Tomboys generally still consider themselves fully and completely female (sometimes a FtM transgendered individual will be referred to erroneously as a tomboy)

I see, before I was under the impression that being a Tomboy is a phase that one will grow out of or grow into say a Drag King. As I have a friend who is very tomboyish, competes in male activites, and befriends more males than females but is attracted to males. Just puzzling really.

A tomboy is a girl who happens to like things that aren't traditionally feminine, but still feels like she is female.
A drag king is a girl who dresses like a guy, usually for entertainment purposes- a lot of people (myself included) find ******** with gender really entertaining. Drag Kings may or may not identify as female, but regardless of whether they do or not, they like ******** with the gendered ordered. It's generally associated with lesbians, just like drag queens are often assumed to be gay, but it's not limited to any sexuality.
I just honesly belive that not enough is done to respect any person who is a little diffrent... I hade issues a while back... I diden't understand... so I decided to learn about it more... And I am really facinated with the subjest now... From cross dressing to trance-genders I met some of them... The often have really interesting life storys. I belive that as long as you are not hurting a other person agains his or her will... anything can be accapted.
Personally, I get annoyed when people assume things and base their arguments on rumors and "facts" that they found on Wikipedia.

The thing is, personality traits aren't directly affected by who you're attracted to. That's why there are feminine lesbians and masculine gay men. Likewise, this can branch off into transgenderism as well, because the individual identifies with a gender different than their own. Many transgendered individuals are attracted to people with the same gender as them, because they're not directly connected.

And what exactly is this directed toward?

if you cannot be a poet...

I just wanted to thank the creator for making this thread.

...and say that people need to ignore the trolls and the idiots. You're just encouraging them. stare

...be the poem.
