I love Rachael Maddow's response to Right wing claims of Amanda Simpson's hiring being pandering to the LGBT lobby. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/01/05/transgender-appointee-ama_n_412103.html) Rachel simply listed Ms. Simpson's qualifications. She sounds incredibly well qualified to do the job. It's so nice to see that gender did not get in the way of the right candidate getting a job for once.
