It concerns Zelda insofar as she is the one that the main bad guy is always going after, whenever he appears in one of the games.
Her family is also the one with the closest ties to the Triforce and the Gods of old[proven in Skyward, since her soul is basically a reborn Goddess who was entrusted with the Triforce by the original three Goddesses], while Link doesn't usually have any blood-line ties to the Triforce, if ever at all.
