I know an Idiot Nerd Girl IRL though, it is the girlfriend of my douchebag friend living in my house. She claims left and right she's a nerd, but really, the only thing she's into is Final Fantasy. Not once have I heard her talk about any other game franchise that isn't Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts. emotion_facepalm Worst of all: She's also a fan of Twilight, but thankfully, not to the point to where she thinks Edward/Jacob are the hottest men on the planet.

But yeah, again, Legend of Zelda is a franchise I know that gets bashed on by many people here for being a very popular series with allot of games, same with like every other Nintendo franchise it seems.

Simple answer for ya: the things you hated about it, others either found tolerable or out-right loved.
No deeper reason needed.
The only thing that most people agree upon about Wind Waker is that the sailing needed to be less boring somehow, or shorter between islands, one or the other.

That depends on where you look and who you are.
If ur an occasional gamer who plays lot of singleplayer: Other M is pretty good but it gets fustrating sometimes.
If you play alot with your friends u might want Brawl or NSMario Bros. Wii
But if ur Hardcore and can handle clearing dungeons with tons of monsters, the occasional puzzle, and like finding the occasional sidequest to mix things up then you can talk about a Zelda game.
But if ur some douche bag who thinks decent games are only the ones that throw a ball , shoot a gun, or let u punch stuff by moving in front of a camera. (as cool a camera it may be) u just suck.
Plus I typed all this with my Wiimote D-bag.
But I agree their 3rd party tends to suck unless it's Capcom or something.
