The mainstream today..it sucks..there is no hope...xD

hello all!
have u ever wondered if mainstream is for you?
if so thats fine biggrin i could care less....honestly some mainstream is good..i do NOT like whiney emo bands that doit for the women..i do it to ,make friends,get heard...etc...women and mainstream are of no importance to me smile what im asking is tell me....is there hope for music? is there any hope at all.i listen to mainly underrated bands that deserve more attention than the wonderbread mainstream...lol..but state ur opinion please what do u think makes music..music.

I would say that with music, as with any art, most of it is subjective and up to opinion. There are people who honestly like it. I would not qualify myself as one of those people, haha. In fact, I honestly haven't listened to the radio of my own accord since I bought my first CD 10 years ago.

I think that with the internet, and with the fact that we're more connected as a world these days, there's a far broader spectrum of music available now than there was even 20 or 30 years ago. Which is good, because if there weren't, I would probably lose my mind biggrin

The only mainstream music I listen to are bands that were formerly not mainstream and have become that way over time (i.e., Death Cab for Cutie).

That's my 2 cents anyway. Or maybe 25, adjusting for inflation razz
