The other day, my friends and I got on the topic of going to the bathroom and which stall we use{we're all girls}. My one friend who's a girl but hangs out with alot of guys alluded to this thing called 'the guy code' which is from what I can understand about the order of where men are supposed to pee in the bathroom. gonk

So this just brings up the questions of;

*What is the guy code?
*Why is there one?
*And how did you know to use the guy code?

Guy code is a list of unmentioned, though intuited, social laws and etiquette that govern the interaction between males and females.

It keeps interactions routine and saves guys, like any person, from the awkwardness of not knowing what to do when confronted with social situations and, god forbid, the commission of a faux pas.

Common sense.

I believe its referred to as the “bro code”. I'm pretty sure it has to do with space between urinals and minimal talking while using such devices. I agree with this I never cut in between two urinals its gross and impolite. I use the stall instead.

And “bros don’t go tanning” apparently.
Hearing other men talk about it makes them sound like douches.

A guy tried to explain the "man code" or whatever to me once. It was almost the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

That's because you're not a guy. Only guys can understand the guy code. That's why it's called the guy code.

I thought it was called the "code of the road", where you're not to talk about your personal life, nor your sexual histories or anything.

As per my experience, I don't talk about sex-related issues around other guys. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I can't stand ignorant 12-year old dialogue with overly-suggestive sexual slang terminology from them. We live in such an age where a classmate can sass me like "At least I can get p***y!" and another next to him says "He's got a point there, Dave." confused

I dont think it requires a person to be a male to understand; I just think it demands a critical mind. Women have the same sort of social codes that they follow, i.e. not dating the ex of a friend, not wearing the same dress, etc.), so why women cant get it is beyond me.

My point is that it's a guy CODE.

It's a pun, linking a guy "code", as in "coded message", and a guy "code", as in "code of honor".

Still, either way, only a guy can ever understand the guy code. Women need not even know of its existence. We're already going to get blasted for acknowledging it, in the presence of females.

Thanks, to whichever a*****e spilled the beans stare

Too much has been revealed already. It's time to call a meeting.

Oh, delusions

I disagree on that point you hold. I get female rules pretty fine, and I know a few girls who get male codes as well. To think that there is something special to sex organs that keeps the opposite sex from getting social codes and etiquette.

Thank you to Stuch and Shrantic for their most generous donations.

So what you're saying is, guys don't pee in stalls next to each other just to avoid being labeled as gay? Is that it?

Hello!^^
Would anyone care to donate???
Unwanted things are welcome if you please!^^

yes, basically that's it. anything else in it is really stupid and deserves to be ignored, unless it really is common sense and prevents you from looking gay.
