This month, due to popular demand, we are "reviving" our Townsified version of the musical Wicked. However, despite a lot of people pushing for us to do this show, we are struggling to get a cast together! What gives?
If you'd be interested in being in the cast and can make our time commitment (show up to at least 6 of our 8 rehearsal/performances days), we'd really love to see you at our emergency extra audition today, tonight at 5 PST (7 CST/8 EST) (ideally it won't take us more than an hour) in 9 Barton 001221! You don't need to know anything about Wicked to be in it smile (If you can make the 6 days but not tonight, PM Arqueete and she'll try and help you out) If you don't already know how GTC "acting" works, we have this handy YouTube video explaining everything you need to know for auditions, including example clips from our performances smile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YOI4CAQ4L4 Here is our schedule: Quote: Rehearsals: (5 PST - 7 PST) Tues Dec 9th, Thurs Dec 11th, Sat Dec 13th, Tues Dec 16th, Thurs Dec 18th Performances: Friday, Dec 19th @ 5 PM PST Saturday, Dec 20th @ 1 PM PST and 5 PM PST Sunday, Dec 21st @ 1 PM PST Here's how our casting is working for this show: We've split the characters of Wicked in half, the halves going like this: Group A: Elphaba, Nessarose, Boq/Chistery, Dr. Dillamond Group B: Glinda, Fiyero, Madame Morrible, The Wizard And then we've split our cast in half and assigned each half of the cast to half the characters, and then intend for those people to play a different character from their group at each of our performances -- that way everyone gets to play at least three characters* and almost everyone gets to play a lead (and we'll do our best to arrange it so everyone who wants a certain character gets to play them). Get it? smile We're hoping to get 5-7 additional people for our cast out of this! * Because if at all possible we'd like to have 5 or 6 people in each group each performance 1-2 people from each group will not be scheduled in a role -- this being the internet, we have many performances where many actors can't show because of real life things, computer problems, etc. so extra people to sub are very necessary. GTC people will be around bumping this thread all day, so feel free to ask us any questions about this production, GTC, etc. |
