I don't mind tattoos, I actually love tattoos. I think tattoos are a form of free artistic expression and a way to showcase unique styles of artwork. Tattoos can also be a way of communicating personal feelings or beliefs. They can also be used to represent deep bonds held between people and those that they love. I feel that the meanings behind tattoos or the things they can symbolize are limitless. They can be for self expression to represent how you view yourself or as a way to symbolize something deeper.
I have 2 tattoos, one on my arm that represents one of my favorite animes and another that I designed after my dad passed away as a personal memorial to him. Having that tattoo symbolizes my closeness to him and make me feel that he is still with me.
I have many cousins with tattoos and even an uncle and an aunt who have tattoos. My mom and my sister also have tattoos. My cousin even owns a tattoo supply shop called Tommy's Supplies.
My family was supportive of my tattoos and only wanted to make sure that I was prepared to live with artwork permenantly tattooed on my skin.
My friends thought my tattoos were really cool and my tattoos even helped me to start conversations with new people. I do know people who don't like tattoos but they don't treat me with any less value than they did before I got them.
I hope my reply helps you, if you'd like to talk to me more about my views on tattoos just send me a pm.
