duct tape fixes most of life's problems...

i'd have to say, that tokyopop's decisions for new manga is sorta...sliding back into time. i mean, sure there are PLENTY of really GOOD mangas from before i was born, but the world in which manga originated, namely japan and most of asia, has really outgrown the '80's look, and welll.....america's behind asia enough as is, just take my word for it.
thus i conclude that tokyopop should put more effort into bringing newer series to the american shelves.

...and hot glue guns fix everything else.

Tokyopop doesn't have many good manga. I tend to go to other places for manga. biggrin Shh! Don't tell them that.

i totally agree with you, and i'm glad i'm not the only one noticing that they tend to go towards the noooooooot quite so visually pleasing and/or "good/interesting" ones...but we'll hush up :3

I think they just go with what's popular is japan...or gets serialized in their sister magazines.

Honestly, I only read a bit of it before I put it down. I did the same when FB came to the US. I thought it was stupid. Then one of my friends bought be the first three a billion years ago. I had to read them, otherwise that would be rude. I realized I was an idiot and it's the greatest thing out right now.

Depends on the drama. The live action version of marmalade boy is better than the anime.

who knows? xp
i find many of their titles somewhat un-appealing soooo... i dunno.
X3
maybe they're stuck with the unserialized ones that were popular and haven't been signed by the other companies...

while i'm at it, i would like to point out to the world that i severely dislike america's ability to choose fitting voices for dubs in the anime, and that it's disappointing and made me stop watching it on TV, except for like, 2 series where they did an exceptional job.

It is really great, but it's really not that popular. No one I know knows of it unless I told them. The animation gets better along the way. put #1 together with #20 and you can tell a BIG difference. It comes out on a trickle now. =[ I want the next one to come out!!!!! scream
They need to make it an anime!!!!!! scream

My first anime, Trigun (I still love it), is horribly dubbed! I didn't know better when I started watching it. Now, 5 years later, I do know better. They guy who plays Vash is a horrible voice actor.
