...So basically, you learn from a pastor and the Bible.

Don't you know that's how christians are now a days?

Better than Phanari knows, seeing as I am one.

What makes you think they don't talk to God and listen to their heart?
Because most of them use God as a tool and pick and choose what they want to follow from the Bible, or match certain verses of the Bible with their sick and twisted agenda.

Change most to some and your point will be much more accurate.

Look through it. I mean, REALLY look through it. Old Testement was written MANY decades before the New. And yet.............it prophesizes Christ's crusefiction? SERIOUSLY! Check it out. It's in Exodus.

A). You spelled crucifixion wrong.

B). What passage?

I would like to see this as well. All I've gotten were quotes taken out of context to "prove" it. There doesn't seem to be a passage that says "and when the Christ comes, he will 4 cubits tall with a mole on his right hand, and talk about changing the Jewish laws. He will die a terrible death."

Okay, so not those words. But it does talk about a sacrifice of The Most Pure Lamb on the 14th of Nesbith. And when did Jesus die? He was a lamb. He was the purest of all, and He was sacrificed on that very day.

No, I'm fairly certain he was an Arab.

I would like to see that passage. It seems more like those who claim that Nostradamus predicted some disaster after the disaster already happened. Which is really them going back through his quatrains and looking for something that fit.
Watagashi
Psalm 22. =__=

NIV Version:

Quote:
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from the words of my groaning?
2 O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, and am not silent.

3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the praise of Israel. [a]

4 In you our fathers put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.

5 They cried to you and were saved;
in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by men and despised by the people.

7 All who see me mock me;
they hurl insults, shaking their heads:

8 "He trusts in the LORD;
let the LORD rescue him.
Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him."

9 Yet you brought me out of the womb;
you made me trust in you
even at my mother's breast.

10 From birth I was cast upon you;
from my mother's womb you have been my God.

11 Do not be far from me,
for trouble is near
and there is no one to help.

12 Many bulls surround me;
strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.

13 Roaring lions tearing their prey
open their mouths wide against me.

14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted away within me.

15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death.

16 Dogs have surrounded me;
a band of evil men has encircled me,
they have pierced my hands and my feet.

17 I can count all my bones;
people stare and gloat over me.

18 They divide my garments among them
and cast lots for my clothing.

19 But you, O LORD, be not far off;
O my Strength, come quickly to help me.

20 Deliver my life from the sword,
my precious life from the power of the dogs.

21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;
save [d] me from the horns of the wild oxen.

22 I will declare your name to my brothers;
in the congregation I will praise you.

23 You who fear the LORD, praise him!
All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!
Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!

24 For he has not despised or disdained
the suffering of the afflicted one;
he has not hidden his face from him
but has listened to his cry for help.

25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;
before those who fear you will I fulfill my vows.

26 The poor will eat and be satisfied;
they who seek the LORD will praise him—
may your hearts live forever!

27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,

28 for dominion belongs to the LORD
and he rules over the nations.

29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship;
all who go down to the dust will kneel before him—
those who cannot keep themselves alive.

30 Posterity will serve him;
future generations will be told about the Lord.

31 They will proclaim his righteousness
to a people yet unborn—
for he has done it.

I fail to see how this is a prediction of Christ's coming and crucifixion. This is just a poetic diatribe about religious persecution.

And, Phanari, you still haven't answered either of our questions on what you hope to accomplish with this thread? To teach, convert, etc?

Actually, in the very first few pages, I mention how I'm just performing my Christian duty as a fisher of men. AKA: Giving The Word of God.

So, basically, you hope to teach and convert the people of the ED into Christianity?

When did I say that? You're putting words in my mouth. I'm giving others the Word of God and if they choose to believe it, that's their blessing.

I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, and I'm trying to see what you hope to accomplish.

So, you just want to 'give others the word of God'(etc). What do you hope to accomplish by giving them the word of God, as you see it? Do you hope to make them see Christianity in a new light, or become Christian themselves, or just to be more informed about Christianity? Or, are you just showing them the word of God as you see it, for the heck of it?

Try this: I'm simply giving The Word in hopes that people LISTEN! What they choose to take from there is their business.

But the Bible was written by flawed, sinful men as well. Just because it's inspired by God doesn't mean it can't be corrupted.

Also, if you have this persecuted, us-vs-them mentality, you're never going to learn anything.

God loves all his children, right? God is at peace with the way all people are. His love is all encompassing, so it would follow that God would want us to love as he does. And yet I've never met a christian who can read the bible, go to church, and still keep their heart in love.

And that's what's sad. And those that do talk with God and listen with their heart get blasted by their fellow peers which is why I strayed away from Christianity.

One thing I've noticed about Christians who stray from their faith, church, etc. are usually discouraged so because of what OTHERS are doing. But, as you said earlier, a relationship with God is a private, two-person thing. A third person (in this case, Christian) should not, under any circumstance, dissuade you from your faith; and you shouldn't allow it to happen, either.

Please know, I'm not trying to convert you with this, this is only noting the common flaw and circumstance I've seen in people who have fallen out of their faith. It's happened to me before, too.

Please note my post made either on the previous page, or the page before. Psalm 22.

Also, I found the passage she was mentioning. It's iffy, and definitely not as substantial as Psalm 22. I haven't fully read over it, but I figured I should post it:

(note: Sorry, Rai, King James was the first I've found, and I'm too lazy to find NIV or NKJV right now ^^; )

Exodus 12:1-14 King James Version
1And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,

2This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

3Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

4And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

5Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

6And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

7And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

8And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

9Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

10And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

11And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.

12For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

13And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Since when was Interreligious Dialogue a negative?
It's not interreligious dialouge. They listen to what others tell them and then go back and spout whatever negativity, bias, inaccuracy that person told them. They would rather listen to a "holy man" than to listen to God. And that pisses me off.

Your attempt is flawed and weak at best.
You're also a terrible debator and speller, so I suggest you invest in a spell-check or two, or at the very least try to form a cohesive arguement?
You say you're 'christian' but I'd bet dollars to donuts your one of those weird factions of break-away religions led by some nutso priest back in the day.
Like Baptists or Presbiterians [sp]
Ergo, the True Word of God was misconstrued and edited by greedy, fame-seeking men who thought he was a prophet, but was in fact, a false-prophet. A very large sin against God.
In effect, you are being led by a false-prophet's words, and are being led astray from the flock as a whole, and are trying to lead more people away, to join in your sin.

>:3

Your religious mumbo-jumbo has been turned against thee, cower in fear, infedell.
